A Workshop on How to Be Radio and Television Correspondent
Prof. Ashraf Abd El-Hafeez, Acting President of Fayoum University, attended the workshop and competition about how to be a radio and television correspondenton Monday, 3/12/2018 at the central library. This competition washeldunder the supervision of Prof. Khaled Atallah, Vice President for Education and Students Affairs, and was organized by the General Administration of Youth Welfare during the period from 2/12/2018 to 5/12/2018, in presence of Mr. Abd El-Hakim El-Lwag, Egyptian TV Interviewer, Mrs.Enas Abd El-Aziz, Egyptian Radio Interviewer and a number of students.
Prof. Ashraf Abd El-Hafeez stressed that Fayoum University is interested in developing the talents of students and helping them to upgrade their scientific and cultural level, besidesteaching them new skills that serve them in the labor market after graduation.
Mr. Abd El-Hakim El-Lwag explained the skills of the television Correspondent, which includes being fit for the profession in terms of soundness and pronunciation and the use of simple words in front of audience.
He spoke about the recent negatives of the Egyptian media and that the media nowadays is aiming to make money more than the search for truth and solve the problems which the society suffers from.
In the same respect, Mrs. Enas Abd El-Aziz continued the characteristics of the successful radio correspondent in terms of tact, flexibility and good preparation of the content provided to listeners. She stressed the need for mastering thesounds of Arabic language to deliver the message to the receiver properly.
Three students will be chosen to participate in a competition called "Innovation", which will be held during the coming period between all the Egyptian universities.
