Fields of Activities:

The Center for Research and Engineering Consultancy has specialized and distinguished engineering teams from faculty members from the academic staff. Each group is specialized in providing all types of consultations, studies, designs, specifications, necessary measurements, supervising implementation and engineering reports in different branches of engineering. Members of the Center are considered as members upon the request of their membership and the approval of the University Council in the various branches of engineering. The Center has two main working groups:

Office and Executive Team:

It includes all faculty members and their assistants from all departments: (civil engineering - architecture - electrical engineering - industrial engineering). The faculty has the scientific and practical expertise in these disciplines, where there are more than thirty members holding the title of consultant in each specialization

Laboratory Work Team:

It includes a group of faculty members, their assistants and technicians in all disciplines. There are many labs that can be mentioned, including but not limited to:
• Research and experiments laboratories for structural engineering, which contains all the equipment necessary to perform all the tests required for any engineering work.
• Laboratory of survey works that contains all the necessary equipment and needed expertise.
• Industrial Engineering Laboratorythat contains all equipmentand needed expertise.

Projects

Previous work:
The following are examples of some of recent work and technical consultancy provided by the Center (since 2005):

First: Work ofsiting and surveying.
• The land of New University in the New Fayoum City - Fayoum Governorate (200 acres).
• The faculties of Education, Arts and Archeology in the university campus and the planning and reuse of land areas.

Second: Planning and coordination of the sites:
• Planning and coordination of land areas for Faculty of Education.
• Planning and coordinating the squares of Demo city and designing irrigation and fire networks.

Third: Design and supervision of water installations:
• Supervising the implementation of sanitation system works in Abaza village in Fayoum Governorate, which includes the implementation of the gradient network and the lifting station and the expulsion line and the preparation of a network budget project.
• Design of swimming pool at Fayoum University.
• Spraying, drip irrigation and fire networks in Demo city.

Fourth:Architectural and Structural Design and Supervision of Implementation:
• The administrative buildings of the new Fayoum City.
• Buildings of Karoun Sports Club in Fayoum Gouvernorat.

Fifth:Preparation of structural safety reports and technical review:
• Naser Youth Sports Center in Fayoum Governorate.
• The religious institute building in QasrAl-Bassil area - Etsa center - Fayoum governorate.

Sixth:Development and Rehabilitation:
• Nafisa Al HosaryHospital in Fayoum.
• UniversityHospital of Faculty of Medicine, Fayoum University.
• Rehabilitation of the administrative building in Faculty of Agriculture.
• The main building of Faculty of Education.

Seventh: Projects and Previous Work Carried out by the Center during the Academic Year 2008/2009
6- A protocol was signed with the Directorate of Health and Population in Fayoum for the design and implementation of all the Fayoum hospitals. The protocol is being activated - Al Sadr Hospital, Al-Ramad Hospital, Tamiya Hospital and Youssef Al-Seddiq Hospital.
7- A protocol was signed with the General Administration of Water Resources and Irrigation in Fayoum to design and supervise the implementation of irrigation works.
