 Department of Architecture Organizes its Annual Conference |

| The Department of Architecture of the Faculty of Engineering, Fayoum University, held its annual Conference and Exhibition on Wednesday 16th of May 2012. The event was inaugurated by Professor Abdel Hamid Abdel Tawab Sabry, President of Fayoum University. The opening ceremony was attended by Vice-President for Community Service and Environment Development Professor Farid Awad Hedar, Dean of Faculty of Engineering Professor Hazem Ali Attia, Chair of Department of Architecture Professor Ehab Okba, vice-deans, faculty members and students. It is worth mentioning that this exhibition is a tradition in which excellent students are honored, and students' schemes in the field of architectural design and planning are presented. In his address, the University President stressed the importance of self-denial and teamwork as tools for progress. He also mentioned the cooperation protocol recently signed between the University and the Ministry of Transport. Speaking during the event, Attia thanked students and faculty members for their relentless efforts and creative works. At the end of the event, the University President was given the Faculty Shield. Also, outstanding architecture students were honored, namely Aya Ahmed Mohammad, Alaa Salah, Ghada Yasser, and Hadeer Badawy. |
