Faculty of Agriculture, Fayoum University, is to organize the Fifth International Conference on Sustainable Agricultural Development from 12/12 through 23/12/2009. The conference will be held under the auspices of Professor Hani Helal, Minister of Higher Education and State for Scientific Research, Prof. Galal M. Said, Governor of Fayoum, Prof. Ahmed El-Gohary, President of Fayoum University, Prof. Ahmed Abdel-Moniem El-Shieway, Conference President and Dean of Faculty of Agriculture, Prof. Helmy Abdu Ghoniemy, Conference Rapporteur and vice-dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and Prof. Magda Soliman Abdullah, Conference's Secretary-General and vice-dean for Community Service and Environmental Development.

Conference Activities
The activities of the Conference include:
• Scientific seminars on different agricultural fields.
• An exhibition in which the companies and the various bodies working in the field of agriculture will display all new devices, equipment, production inputs and different agricultural products.
• The Conference Board invites any advertisements in the Conference Book on the activities of bodies and institutions working in the agricultural field (Full page ad value is 500 Egyptian pounds).

Conference Fees
Fees for attending the conference
*To participate with a research paper: L.E 800 for Egyptians – US$ 800 for Non-Egyptians (Accommodation is provided)

* To attend as an observer: L.E. 700 for Egyptians – US$ 700 for Non-Egyptians (Accommodation is provided)

-Conference fees include lunches, conference proceedings and moving from Cairo University and coming back.

• Deadline for abstracts along with registration forms: November 15, 2009
• Deadline for submitting full papers: November 30, 2009

Important Notes:
-Full papers presented in English should be accompanied with an abstract in Arabic and vice-versa.
- Full papers must be submitted as word processing files (Microsoft Word 2000) and typed in Simplified Arabic for Arabic papers and Times New Roman for English ones.
-Headings should be 14 pp. while subheadings 14 pp.
-The paper text should be 14 pp.
-Full papers should be submitted on a CD besides 3 A4 copies.
-Charts and maps should be printed by the computer.
