The Faculty of Dar Al Uloom, Fayoum University, is to organize the Department of
Islamic Law First International Conference on "Roles of Islam and Christianity
in Arabic Language Renaissance" The event will be held
under the auspices of Professor Ahmed El Gohary, President of Fayoum University,
Professor Abdul Hamid Abdul Tawab, Vice-President, Community Service and
Environment Development, and Professor Magdy Hanna, Vice-President, Postgraduate
Studies and Research.

I. Conference Objectives
-Reviving the Arabic language and highlighting all roles that have contributed
to its revival;
-Conducting fruitful dialogue between Muslims and Christians with regard to the
Arabic Language;
-Showcasing the spirit of tolerance which prevails in the cultural dialogue
between Muslims and Christians;
-Maintaining the heritage of the Arabic language jointly by Muslims and
Christians.

-An exhibition for Islamic and Christian charities.
-Cultural evening for participants in the conference.
-Tourist tour for participants in the conference.

IV. Registration Fees
Residents
Attendance along with submitting a research paper: 600 EGP; accommodation is
included.
-Attendance along with submitting a research paper: EGP 400; accommodation isn't
included.
Attendance only: EGP 300; accommodation is included.
Attendance only: EGP 200; accommodation isn't included.
Internationals
Attendance along with submitting a research paper: US$ 400; accommodation is
included.
-Attendance along with submitting a research paper: US$ 200; accommodation isn't
included.
Attendance only: US$ 200; accommodation is included.
Attendance only: US$ 150; accommodation isn't included.
Conditions and Important dates:
- 250-300 word abstracts should be sent by the end of February 2011, and
complete papers should be sent by the end of March 2011.
-Paper should not exceed 30 pages; 20 EGP/ 4 US$ will be charged per extra page.
-Full papers must be submitted as word processing files.
*Format: main text must be typed in 14-point Simplified Arabic, left and right
margins: 2.5 cm, down margins: 6 cm.
*The Conference Committee has the full the authority to refute any research
paper without disclosing reasons.
-Priority will be given to papers sent first in case of receiving papers more
than it has been supposed to.

sent to Dr. Saber El Sayed Mashaly, Chairperson, Department of Islamic Law by
