The 8th scientific conference held in Faculty of Education under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Gala M. Said, President of Fayoum University entitled " Quality and Accreditation of Public Education Institutions in the Arab World" has resulted in some recommendations such as: education institutions in the Arab world should foster the concept of quality and the necessity of enriching the education knowledge and field application in the field of quality and accreditation in education institutions. The conference also called for a radical change in these institutions before starting to put the criteria of quality and accreditation into action. This should be preceded by a comprehensive analysis of the social and education real state and the common society and institutional culture then carrying out the needed cultural change taking into consideration avoiding the stumbling blocks and expected dangers when application and having the infrastructure in education institutions guaranteeing the availability of expertise, mechanisms and guarantees able to shoulder the responsibility of evaluation, accreditation and application.;
The conference also recommended that the criteria of quality and accreditation should emerge from a comprehensive, overall view aiming at building the human being and achieving the human development. Therefore, the application of these criteria should include: philosophy, objectives, teaching and searching, curricula and methods, instruction and learning, behavior and performance, professors and teachers, students, workers and employees, the environment, the culture of the educational institution and fields of security, safety and health.
Dr. Yusuf Sayed Mahmoud, Dean of Faculty of Education added that the conference affirmed the necessity of having the adequate fund and making utmost use of expertise in this field as well as benefiting from the international models in the field of teacher preparation and his training, employing the up-to-date technologies in training, having the well-prepared school administration, adopting the concept of decentralization in education institutions and the importance of promoting the entrepreneurship among education institutions and local communities.
