In its meeting No. 58 dated 26/1/2011, the Fayoum University Council, chaired by Professor Ahmed El-Gohary, President of Fayoum University, approved:
-exempting
non-faculty personnel, who have earned TOEFL with a score of 450 from the
Language and Translation Center or the Amideast or the British Council, from
enrolling in General English Course.
-collecting a sum of
400 EGP from the students who have opened their Skills Cards and have done just
one exam resulting in wasting their cards. This sum of money is to be paid to
the Ministry of Communications.
-setting up a new
office for International Students' Affairs.
-activating the
Excellence Conditions for Enhancing Education and Scientific Research under
Quality and Performance-based Pay Rise Program as follows:
*A reward of EGP
10,000 for each research paper published in a peer reviewed international
journal having an impact factor on the condition that the paper submitted must
not be taken from a thesis.
*The reward will be
divided equally among the authors who are affiliate to Fayoum University on the
condition that Fayoum University is mentioned in the research published.
*The reward will be
paid once the edition of the magazine where the paper is published comes out.
*This decree will be
applied to all published research papers from 1/2/2011.
* The Fayoum
University Council approved the Basic Regulation of the Language Training
Center, based in Faculty of Dar Al Uloom and notifying the Supreme Council of
Universities (SCU) with it.
* The Fayoum
University Council approved the Financial and Administrative Regulation of the
Community Service Unit, Faculty of Computers & Information
*Setting up an
Alumni Affairs Office at Fayoum University.
* The Fayoum
University Council approved the Regulation governing the Fayoum University's
Rehabilitation Center for the Blind (RCB) and notifying the SCU with it.
* The Fayoum
University Council approved drawing the mechanisms to put smoking ban at Fayoum
University into effect and determining the charged fines as follows:
- EGP 40 for faculty
members;
-EGP 20 for faculty
assistants and non-faculty personnel;
-EGP 10 for
students.
*The
Fayoum University Council approved promoting Dr. Yosry Said Hasanian Said,
Associate Professor, Department of Methods of Social Work, Faculty of Social
Work, to the rank of
Professor.
*The Fayoum
University Council approved promoting Dr. Wedad Azab Metry Azab,
Associate Professor, Department of Dairy Products, Faculty of Agriculture, to

Professor.
