In its meeting No. 56 dated 24/11/2010, the Fayoum University Council, chaired by Professor Ahmed El Gohary, President of Fayoum University, approved:
-the proposal regarding establishing the Development of Students' Assessment Systems Center at Fayoum University under the umbrella of Development of Students' Assessment Systems Project "DSASP";

-the proposal submitted by the Faculty of Engineering Board dated 10/11/2010 regarding amending the Graduate Studies Regulations at the Department of Civil Engineering, along with notifying the Postgraduate Studies and Research with the amendments;

-the memo submitted by the Faculty of Dar Al Uloom regarding the excuse of Mr. Ibrahim Megahed, head of state-run Egyptian Islamic radio station el-Quran el-Karim, from joining the Faculty of Dar Al Uloom Board; and naming Mrs. Hanan Abdul Tawab, General Supervisor, Fayoum Directorate of Education as member of the board for the academic year 2010/2011;

-reappointing Prof. Ramy Mohammad Kamel Talaat, part-time professor at Department of Mathematics and Engineering Physics as a part-time professor at the same department for a term of four years beginning on 21/11/2011;

-appointing Dr. Hany Yunan Azer as an associate professor at the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Fayoum University; and
-transferring the faculty and their assistants of the Department of Educational Technology, Faculty of Specific Education into the Department for Teaching Aids and Educational Technology, Faculty of Education.

* The Fayoum University Council approved promoting Dr. Mohammad El Sayed Morsy Eissa, Department of Agronomy, Faculty of Agriculture, to the rank of Professor.

*The Fayoum University Council approved promoting Dr. Yasser Mahmoud Ibrahim, Department of General Surgery, Faculty of Medicine, to the rank of Associate Professor.

*The Fayoum University Council approved granting Dr. Ramadan Abdul Azim Ajmy, Department of Botany, Faculty of Agriculture, the academic tile of Associate Professor.

* The Fayoum University Council approved promoting Dr. Mohammad Abdul Wadoud Abdul Azim, Department of Islamic Archaeology, Faculty of Archaeology, to the rank of Assistant Professor.

* The Fayoum University Council approved promoting Dr. Basem Adel Daoud Metias, Department of Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT), Faculty of Medicine, to the rank of Assistant Professor.

* The Fayoum University Council approved promoting Dr. Mohammad Mahmoud Fawzy, Department of Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT), Faculty of Medicine, to the rank of Assistant Professor.

* The Fayoum University Council approved promoting Dr. Ahmed Nagy Abdul Fattah, Department of Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT), Faculty of Medicine, to the rank of Assistant Professor.

* The Fayoum University Council approved promoting Dr. Hany Fayez Habashy, Department of General Surgery, Faculty of Medicine, to the rank of Assistant Professor.

* The Fayoum University Council approved promoting Dr. Wahid Attia Mohammad, Department of Tourist Guidance, Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, to the rank of Assistant Professor.

* The Fayoum University Council approved promoting Dr. Mohammad Soliman Abdul Hamid, Department of Tourism Studies, Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, to the rank of Assistant Professor.

** The Fayoum University Council approved promoting Dr. Magdy Abdul Alim Abdul Attay, Department of Hotel Studies, Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, to the rank of Assistant Professor.

* The Fayoum University Council approved promoting Dr. Rasha Sobhy Mohammad Abdullah, Department of Curriculum and Methodology, Faculty of Education, to the rank of Assistant Professor.

The Fayoum University Council approves accepting the donations offered by:
-President Ahmed El Gohary who made an EGP 2,000 contribution for the Fayoum University Fund for Students' Welfare;

-Professor Saad Nassar, Advisor to Minister of Agriculture, who made an EGP 10,000 contribution for the Fayoum University Fund for Students' Welfare;


-Prof. Olfat Al Shiaty, CEO for project Development, Shoura Group, who made an EGP 25000 for completing e-course program endorsed by the Faculty of Early Childhood Education;

- Advisor Ahmed Hosny Abdul Latif and Flight Lieutenant Amr Hosny Abdul Latif who donated the Islamic library which belongs to Professor Mona Mohammad Badr for the Faculty of Archaeology;


-Mr. Maher Ali Mohammad who donated five air conditioners to the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels;

-The Fayoum University Open Education Center which donated 2 water coolers for the university students;


-The Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, Sweden, which donated a PCR Machine which is worth EGP 85000, in addition to a number of Pipettes which are worth EGP 5600 for the Nematology and Biotechnology Lab, Faculty of Agriculture.
