In its monthly meeting No. 78 dated November 28^th, 2012, the Fayoum University Council, chaired by President of Fayoum University Professor Abdel Hamid Abdel Tawab Sabry, took the following actions:

*The Council approved the October 2012 Meeting Minute, along with including Prof. Mohammad Bahaa El Sayed, Dean of the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine.
The Council approved awarding the following students the Master's Degrees:
• Amr Mohamed Sadek Saleh, Faculty of Science;
• Fatma Mahmoud Semida Al Antably, Faculty of Science;
• Heba El Sayed Goda Ali, Faculty of Science;
• Ahmed Adel Seif Alnasr Marzouk, Faculty of Tourism and Hotels;
• Eman Sarhan Manadrawy Shaker, Faculty of Tourism and Hotels;
• Yousef Ibrahim Mahmoud Agwa, Faculty of Tourism and Hotels;

The Council approved awarding the following students the PhD Degrees:

• Amal Mohi Eldin Mosa Kashef, Faculty of Arts;
• Asmaa Mohi Eldin Mosa Kashef, Faculty of Arts.

The Council approved:
• Awarding the General Diploma Degree in Education to 192 students.
• Awarding the Special Diploma Degree in Education to 22 students.
• Awarding the Professional Graduate Diploma in Education to 3 students.

Appointments and Promotions
• The Council approved appointing Ms. Ghada Ahmed Badawy Hamouda, Assistant Lecturer, Department of Botany, Faculty of Science, as lecturer.

• The Council approved appointing Ms. Yosr Ezz Al Regal Abdel Latif, Assistant Lecturer, Department of Restoration, Faculty of Archaeology, as Lecturer.

• The Council approved Amr Ezzat Mohammad Mahmoud, Assistant Lecturer, Department of Basic Chemistry, Faculty of Science, as Lecturer.

• The Council approved promoting Dr. Sherin Abdel Wahab Ahmed, Assistant Lecturer, Department of Psychology, Faculty of Arts, as Lecturer.

• The Council approved promoting Dr. Ghada Mohammad Ezzat Ahmed, Lecturer, Department of Clinical Pathology, Faculty of Medicine, to the position of Assistant Professor.

• The Council approved promoting Dr. Rabab Mohammad El Sayed, Lecturer, Department of Home Economics, Faculty of Specific Education, to the position of Assistant Professor.

• The Council approved promoting Emam Mohammad Abdel Fattah, Lecturer, Department of Linguistics and Semitic and Western Studies, Faculty of Dar Al Uloom , to the position of Lecturer.

• The Council approved promoting Dr. Emad Fathy Mohammad Moawed , Assistant Professor, Department of Botany, Faculty of Agriculture, to the position of Professor.

• The Council approved promoting Dr. Salah Mahrous El Sayed Ahmed, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics, Faculty of Science, to the position of Professor.

• The Council approved granting Dr. Mahmoud Ahmed Mahmoud Al Ashairy, Lecturer, Department of Literature, Faculty of Dar Al Uloom, the academic title of Assistant Professor.

• The Council approved granting Dr. Alaa Edin Abdel Aziz Salem, Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, the academic title of Professor.

Postgraduate Studies and Research Affairs
-The Council approved in principle converting the ICT Training Project into the ICT Training Center.

-The Council approved giving financial support to three faculty members of each faculty when participating in the same conference.

-The Council endorsed the general regulations of faculties' journals.

-The Council approved admitting open education students at the following graduate programs:
1-General Graduate Diploma in Education;
2-Applied Graduate Diploma in Education;
3-Graduate Diploma in Tourism and Hotels;

-The Council approved launching a webpage on the University Website; this webpage will be titled "Labs at your Service" and will be accessible to researchers and graduate students.

-The Council approved the proposal made by the Board of Directors of the Language and Translation Center (LTC) dated 25/11/2012 as follows:
1- The Language and Translation Center (LTC) of Fayoum University will be tasked with translating academic abstracts into English.
2-The Center for Language Training (CLT) of the Faculty of Dar Al Uloom will be assigned the task of d preparing and revising academic abstracts submitted in Arabic.

Community Service and Environment Development Affairs
-The Council approved the financial and administrative bylaws of the Fayoum Culture and Heritage Center.
- The Council approved establishing a center of excellence in sustainable educational development at the Faculty of Education. The new center will be affiliate to the Community Service and Environment Development Sector.
- The Council approved altering Articles 3, 15 of the bylaw of the Fayoum University's Endowment Fund.

Donations and Contributions
-The Fayoum University accepted the donation made by Mrs. Zina Ashour who donated a sum of 5000 LE for the graduation ceremonies of blind students.

-The Fayoum University accepted the donation made by Prof. Mona Hassan Soliman, Professor of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, who donated five scientific references in the field of architecture worth LE2, to the Library of the Faculty of Engineering.
