The Fayoum University Council, chaired by Professor Abdel Hamid Abdel Tawab Sabry, President of Fayoum University, took the following actions at their meeting No. 68 dated 31/1/2011:

-The Council approved the December Meeting Minute dated 28/12/2011.

-The Council approved appointing the following faculty members as lecturers at the Faculty of Nursing:

1-Dr. Hala Hassan Sayed Khalil, Department of Community Health Nursing

2-Dr. Fatma Mohammad Al-Nady, Department of Nursing Administration

3-Dr. Fatma Abo El-Kheir Farg, Department of Maternity Nursing

4-Dr. Rania Abdel Haq Eid Farag, Department of Maternity Nursing 

-The Council approved transferring Dr. Attallah Farg Attallah, Associate Professor, Department of Zoology, Faculty of Science, Fayoum University, to the same post at the Damanhour University's Faculty of Science.

-The Council approved setting up a Center for Development of Students' Assessment Systems.  

-The Council approved exempting blind students of the Faculties of Dar Al Uloom and Arts from tuition fees as well as residence fees at the University Dorms.

-The Council approved appointing Sherin Adel Ali Ahmed, a dermatologist, as a fellow physician at the University Hospital.

-The Council approved that the Language and Translation Center is tasked with translating and reviewing all certificates to be issued by the University before being endorsed by the concerned body. The Center, in collaboration with other faculties, will be also responsible for translating the contents of all scientific courses.

Secondments

-The Council approved renewing the secondment of Professor Magdy Ibrahim Amin, professor emeritus, Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering.

-The Council approved renewing the secondment of Professor Masaad Mohammad Mansour, professor, Department of Soil Science and Water, Faculty of Agriculture.

-The Council approved renewing the secondment of Dr. Nady Abdel Aziz, lecturer, Department of Food Science and Technology, Faculty of Agriculture.

-The Council approved renewing the secondment of Dr. Sobhy Ahmed Mansour, assistant lecturer, Department of Geology, Faculty of Science.

-The Council approved renewing the secondment of Dr. Ahmed Ali Kandeel, lecturer, Department of Geology, Faculty of Science.

Promotions

-The Council approved promoting Dr. Mohammad Ahmed Mohammad Saad, lecturer, Department of Radiology, Faculty of Medicine, to the position of Assistant Professor.

  
-The Council approved promoting Mr. Mostafa Mahmoud Mostafa Ibrahim, assistant lecturer, Department of Sociology, Faculty of Arts, to the position of Lecturer.

-The Council approved promoting Mr. Ahmed Mostafa Mohammad Abdel Karim, assistant lecturer, Department of Art Education, Faculty of Specific Education, to the position of Lecturer.

-The Council approved promoting Mr. Ahmed Roby Abdel Tawab, assistant lecturer, Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science, to the position of Lecturer.

 
-The Council approved promoting Ms. Shimaa Mohammad Hamdy Othman, assistant lecturer, Department of Dairy Science, to the position of Lecturer.

-The Council approved promoting Ms. Hosnia Hussein Abdel Rahman, assistant lecturer, Department of Comparative Education, Faculty of Education, to the position of Lecturer.

Contributions and Donations:

- The Fayoum University Council accepted the donation offered by the National Bank of Egypt (NBE) which made a fifty thousand pound contribution to the Center for the Blind.

 - The Fayoum University Council accepted the donation offered by Professor Ahmed Ashraf Wegdan, Acting Dean, Faculty of Nursing, who contributed stationery which is worth LE 2716, 49.
