In its session no. 36 dated 31/12/2008:

  Fayoum University Council presided over by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Magdy El Gohary, President of Fayoum University, approved of :

 * transferring Dr. Yusuf Mohamed Mohamed Hefnawy – lecturer at Department of English Language, Faculty of Arts, Fayoum University to the same post of Faculty of Arts, Minia University to a vacant position at Minia University without his financial degree.

* proposal of the Education and Student Affairs Council, dated 23/12/2008 regarding the proposed number of students to be accepted at the university faculties of the academic year 2009 – 2010.  The number of students to be admitted at faculties of Social Work, Medicine, Dar Al-Uloum and Arts is to be reduced by 15% over three-year' time.

* proposal of the Education and Student Affairs Council, dated 23/12/2008 regarding the proposed numbers of students who graduate from Foreign Language high Schools (French - German) to be accepted at Faculty of Tourism and Hotels for the academic year 2009-2010 as follows;

-25 students (Graduates of French Language High Schools)

-25 students (Graduates of German Language High Schools)

* proposal of the Community Service and Environmental Development Council dated17/11/2008 regarding the approval of the establishment of a nursery Unit as one of public service units of Faculty of kindergarten and the ratification of the b-law.

** distributing the monthly rent – about 24,000 Egyptian Pounds- of (2) cafeterias within the premises of the campus for a number of (240) university students who are entitled to monthly assistance with the addition of a new rule concerning the sale of university lands says "With the consent of Prof. Dr. President of the University, monthly subsidies for students are to be allocated as determined by his assessment of each case".

**creating a new account called "University Fayoum - Care of Students," under the umbrella of Special Funds Administration and the adoption of its by-law.

** proposal of the Community Service and Environmental Development Council dated 17/11/2008 regarding the approval of the of naming Engineer / Hussein Ahmed Sabor, Egyptian Junior Business Association board chairman member of the Community Service and Environmental Development Council for a period of two years, according to the article (35) of Law No. (49) of 1972.

** proposal of the Faculty of Medicine name the following three people, from outside, as members of the Faculty Council for the university year 2008-2009, according to the article (40), paragraph (e): 

 -Prof. Dr. Omr Al Farouk Zaki, Professor of Oncology, Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University

 -Dr. Awad Soliman – Health Committee Chairman of the National Council of Fayoum

 -A. Mohammed Sultan Behns - Former Director General for Ceremony, the Cabinet

- Dr. Hossam Mohamed Al Nady,  assistant professor at Department of Grammar and Prosody, Faculty of Dar Al-Uloum, in terms of  (2) flat top stoves and (2) Electric Water Heaters with an 80 gallon capacity costing 2000 Egyptian pounds.
