     In its meeting No. 57 dated 
	29/12/2010, the Fayoum University Council, chaired by Professor Ahmed 
	El-Gohary, President of Fayoum University, approved: 
	-correcting Article 22 of the Financial and Administrative Regulations 
	governing the University Special Units and Centers of Excellence regarding 
	auditing of final accounts by Special Treasury Funds Department.  
	 
	-the Internal Regulations of the Bachelor's Degree of the Faculty of 
	Computers & Information pursuant to the report compiled by the Computer and 
	Information Science Committee dated October 13, 2010. 
	 
	-accepting the excuse submitted by Prof. Khalil Abdulal Khalil, who excused 
	from overseeing the examinations at the Faculty of Dar Al Uloom since his 
	daughter Maha Khalil Abdulal Khalil is a fourth year student at the same 
	faculty. Accordingly, Vice-Dean Rabie Abdul Aziz will be in charge of 
	overseeing the examinations;  
	 
	-the proposal submitted by the Board of Graduate Studies and Research 
	regarding holding a third Teacher Preparation Course during February of July 
	in case 15 applicants apply for the course;  
	 
	-providing some incentives for demonstrators and assistant lecturers to 
	encourage scientific research and enhance their academic achievement; and
	 
	 
	-the proposal mooted by Director of MIS regarding the following:  
	*each faculty has to designate a faculty member to serve as coordinator 
	between the MIS Unit and the Project Senior Management.  
	 
	- The Fayoum University Council approved nominating Prof. Mohamad 
	Abdur-Rahaman Al-Sharnouby, Professor Emeritus at Department of Geography, 
	Faculty of Arts, for the Egyptian State Merit Award for Social Sciences. 
	 
	-The Fayoum University Council approved promoting Prof. Amal Mohammad 
	Abdul Rahman Rabie, Department of Linguistics, Faculty of Dar Al 
	Uloom, to the rank of Professor. 
	 
	-The Fayoum University Council approved appointing Prof. Mohammad 
	Abdullah Afifi, Department of Islamic Philosophy, Faculty of Dar Al 
	Uloom, as an Adjunct Professor. 
	 
	The Fayoum University Council approved appointing Prof. Madiha 
	Mohammad Al Azaby, Department of Educational Psychology, Faculty of 
	Education, as an Adjunct Professor. 
	 
	The Fayoum University Council approved appointing Prof. Mohammad Fawzy 
	Abdul Maksoud, Department of Educational Foundations, Faculty of 
	Education, as an Adjunct Professor. 
	 
	The Fayoum University Council approved appointing Prof. Ibrahim 
	Mohammad Al-Metwaly Atta, Department of Curriculum and Methodology, 
	Faculty of Education, as an Adjunct Professor. 
	 
	The Fayoum University Council approved promoting Dr. Eissa Ahmed Eissa 
	Said, Department of Genetics, Faculty of Agriculture, to the rank of
	Associate Professor 
	 
	The Fayoum University Council approved promoting Dr. Attallah Farg 
	Attallah Al-Kot, Department of Zoology, Faculty of Science, to the 
	rank of Associate Professor. 
	 
	The Fayoum University Council approved promoting Dr. Mahmoud Mohammad 
	Ali Abdul Azim, Department of Soil and Water, Faculty of 
	Agriculture, to the rank of Lecturer. 
	 
	The Fayoum University Council approved promoting Dr. Salwa Salahedin 
	Sayed Refaay, Department of Methods of Social Work, Faculty of 
	Social Work, to the rank of Lecturer. 
	 
	 
	The Fayoum University Council approved accepting 
	the donations offered by: 
  
	-President Ahmed El Gohary who made an 
	EGP 2,000 contribution for the Fayoum University Fund for Students' Welfare;
  
	-Dr. Ahmed Abdus-Salam, director of 
	Language & Translation Center, who made an EGP 1000 contribution for the 
	University Mosque; 
  
	-Mr. Shawky Mohammad Arafa, an 
	ex-officio member of Board of Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, who contributed 
	50 blankets to the workers at the faculty; 
  
	-Mr. Amr Adel Sedky, chairman of 
	Creative Group for Tourism, who contributed a number of signs which are 
	worth EGP 10000 for the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels; and 
  
	-The National Council for Women (NWC) 
	which contributed 100 books of its latest publications to the Faculty of 
	Specific Education Library.
