At its meeting No. 90 dated 25/1/2013, the University Council chaired by President Abdel Hamid Abdel Tawab Saby took the following decisions:

* The Council approved the November Council Meeting No. 89 dated 27/11/2013.

* The University Council approved awarding the following students master's degrees:
- Samaa Abdel Fattah Abdel Aziz Ali, Faculty of Education;
- Mahmoud Ali Abdel Hamid Ibrahim, Faculty of Education;
-Hassan Rabie Mohamed, Faculty of Agriculture;
-Adel Amar Awad, Faculty of Agriculture;
-Amal Raouef Saleh Mohamed, Faculty of Medicine;
-Maha Mostafa Saleh Ahmed, Faculty of Engineering;
-Wafaa Khalil Abu Bakr Khalil, Faculty of Social Work;
-Eman Hamed Hamed Ali, Faculty of Social Work;
-Sahar Sayed Ali Mohamed, Faculty of Tourism and Hotels; and
- Marwa Saad Ali Hassan, Faculty of Science.

* The University Council approved awarding the following students PhD degrees:
-Doaa Mohamed Nabil Ali Tolba, Faculty of Education;
-Mohamed Hashem Abdel Salam Mohamed, Faculty of Dar Al Uloom;
-Abu Bakr Hasan Amar Al-Bakar, Faculty of Dar Al Uloom;
-Amany Sayed Mohamed Mohamed, Faculty of Dar Al Uloom;
-Yaser Fathy Abdel Alim, Faculty of Agriculture.

-The Council also approved awarding the Graduate Diploma in Education to 349 students.
- The Council also approved awarding the Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education to 3 students.

Appointments and Promotions
-The University Council approved appointing Mr. El Sayed Mubarak Abu Zayd, assistant lecturer, Department of Linguistics, Faculty of Dar Al Uloom, as a lecturer.
-The University Council approved appointing Mr. Fadwa Abdel Rahim Mohamed, assistant lecturer, Department of Clinical Pathology, Faculty of Medicine, as a lecturer.
-The University Council approved appointing Mr. Mohamed Ahmed Hamed, assistant lecturer, Department of Anesthesia, Faculty of Medicine, as a lecturer.
-The University Council approved appointing Dr. Shaimaa Ahmed Ibrahim, lecturer, Department of Art Education, Faculty of Specific Education, as an assistant professor.
-The University Council approved appointing Dr. Nour Ahmed Abu Bakr Al-Ramady, assistant professor, Department of Art Education, Faculty of Specific Education, as a professor.

Education and Students' Affairs
-The University Council approved creating a central student organization bearing the name of "Sout Al-Jamma" and its slogan "We do not back any party or religious group".
-Forming a committee to be presided by Vice President for Education and Students' Affairs, Vice President for Graduate Studies and University Secretary-general to prepare a report with regard to issuing of University ID Cards for faculty members and administrative staff.

Graduate Studies and Research Affairs
The University Council approved altering the name of the Applied Diploma in Education (Early Childhood Education) into the General Diploma in Education (Early Childhood Education).
-The University Council approved the memo submitted by Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research with regard to the Solar Power Diploma at the Faculty of Science.
- The University Council approved offering ten fully-funded scholarships for nationals of the Nile Basin countries, bearing into consideration the following procedures:
-Developing a study to assess the program financially;
-Setting out a mechanism to select 10 eligible candidates;
-Egyptian nationals are not eligible.

Community Service and Environment Development Affairs
-The University Council approved the financial and administrative bylaw of the Center for Social Work and Community Development Research, a special unit.

Donations and Contributions
- The Fayoum University accepted the donation made by Mr. Hamdy Mohamed Hassanien Shalaby, director-general of the General Department of Graduate Studies, Cultural Relations and Research, who donated eight volumes in history to the Central Library.
