 The Fayoum University Council, chaired by Professor 
Abdel Hamid Abdel Tawab Sabry, President of Fayoum University, took the 
following actions at their meeting No. 69 dated 29/2/2012:  
 
*The Council approved the 2012 January Meeting Minute.  
 
*The University President has recommended taking the following actions:  
-Suspending all joint activities with the American Embassy in Egypt at the 
moment.  
-Faculties interested to apply for the CIQAP should prepare their proposals and 
submit them to a committee composed of Vice-Presidents, and Director of the 
Quality Assurance Unit to select the best three proposals.  
-Deans shall notify the Office of University President with a list of projects' 
coordinators.  
 
*The Council approved the Memorandum of Understanding concluded between Fayoum 
University and efinance Company.  
 
*The Council approved starting the graduate programs at the Faculty of 
Archaeology with adopting the statute of the Cairo University's Faculty of 
Archaeology.  
 
*The Council approved the proposal mooted by the Community Service and 
Environment Development regarding renaming the Community Service and Environment 
Development Center as the Fayoum University's Public Service Center.  
 
*The Council approved setting up a center for public service at the Faculty of 
Engineering with the following duties:  
-Maintaining equipment.  
-Maintaining computers and printers.  
-Maintaining photocopiers, projectors and data show devices.  
-Maintaining medical equipment  
 
Promotions  
*The Council approved promoting Dr. Nader Said Ali Shaimy, lecturer, 
Department of Educational Technology, Faculty of Specific Education, to the 
position of Assistant Professor. 
 
*The Council approved promoting Dr. Naglaa Abdel Khalek Ahmed Al-Sherbini, 
lecturer, Department of Public Health, Faculty of Medicine, promoted to the 
position of Assistant Professor. 
 
*The Council approved promoting Dr. Ragaa Taha Mohammad Ahmed, lecturer, 
Department of Zoology, Faculty of Science, to the position of
Assistant Professor. 
 
*The Council approved promoting Dr. Hossam Ahmed Shaker Mohammad, assistant 
lecturer, Department of Urology, Faculty of Medicine, to the position of
Lecturer. 
 
*The Council approved promoting Dr. Wael Ahmed Ibrahim, assistant lecturer, 
Department of Islamic History, Faculty of Islamic Archaeology, to the position 
of Lecturer. 
 
*The Council approved promoting Dr. Abdel Alim Mohammad Abdel Mola, assistant 
lecturer, Department of Animal Production, Faculty of Agriculture, to the 
position of Lecturer.  
 
*The Council approved promoting Dr. Hassan Mohammad Abdel Aziz, assistant 
lecturer, Department of Dairy Science, Faculty of Agriculture, to the position 
of Lecturer. 
 
*The Council approved promoting Dr. Elhussein Moawad Said Ali, assistant 
lecturer, Department of Hotel Studies, Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, to the 
position of Lecturer. 
 
*The Council approved promoting Dr. Omar El Sayed Ahmed Qoura, assistant 
lecturer, Department of Hotel Studies, Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, to the 
position of Lecturer. 
 
*The Council approved promoting Dr. Islam Al Sayed Hussein Al Sayed, assistant 
lecturer, Department of Tourism Studies, Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, to the 
position of Lecturer. 
 
*The Council approved promoting Dr. Saleh Mohammad Saleh Ahmed, assistant 
lecturer, Department of Restoration, Faculty of Archaeology, to the position of
Lecturer. 
 
*The Council approved promoting Dr. Amer Shabaan Mohammad Kotb, assistant 
lecturer, Department of Physics, Faculty of Science, to the position of
Lecturer. 
 
Contributions and Donations  
*The Fayoum University Council accepted the donation offered by
Eng. George Makhail Astras, who made a contribution 
of fitness equipment which is worth LE 10000.  
 
*The Fayoum University Council accepted the donation offered by the
Members of Women's Association Dream, who 
contributed a Braille Printer which is LE 36.000 
 
*The Fayoum University Council accepted the donation offered by
Dr. Awad Suliman, a dentist, who contributed fifty 
medical glasses, which are worth LE 2000, to the Center for the Blind.
