The Fayoum University Council, chaired by Professor Abdel Hamid Abdel Tawab Sabry, President of Fayoum University, took the following actions at their meeting No. 73 dated 27/6/2012:

The Council approved the May Meeting Minute dated 30 May 2012.

*The Council approved granting the following students master's degrees:
-Rasha Mohammad Ali Ahmed, Faculty of Arts;
-Alaa Ahmed Mohammad Hassan, Faculty of Arts;
-Sabry Gomaa Tolb Mohammad, Faculty of Arts;
-Ragda Mohammad Badr Eldin, Faculty of Tourism and Hotels;
-Ahmed Salah Mahmoud Abdel Baky, Faculty of Agriculture
-Eman Mohammad Gaballah, Faculty of Social Work;
-Nevin Adel Mostafa Mahmoud, Faculty of Social Work;
-Mohammad Yusuf Mohammad Eisawy, Faculty of Engineering;
-Mohammad Ahmed Mohammad Mohammad Mourad, Faculty of Engineering; and
-Ahmed Hasan Hasan Abdel-Al, Faculty of Engineering;

*The Council approved granting the following students PhD degrees:
-Hany Ali Said, Faculty of Arts;
-Sherine Atef Gerges, Faculty of Arts;
-Ahmed Mahmoud Mohammad, Faculty of Tourism and Hotels;
-Tamer Magdy Eissa Fahim, Faculty of Tourism and Hotels;
-Ayman Hamdy Ali Mahdy, Faculty of Agriculture;
-Wael Abdel Aziz Yusuf Abdel Aziz, Faculty of Social Work; and
-Aliaa Afan Othman Ismael, Faculty of Social Work.
-The Council endorsed the result of January Examinations 2012 of the Technical Institute for Nursing.
-The Council approved the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) concluded between the Fayoum Faculty of Engineering and the Engineers' Syndicate.
-The Council approved recruiting employees in invigilation for a fare ranging from 30 to 40 pounds, effective January 2013.

The Council was notified of the following:
1- The letter which was sent by the Minister of Higher Education stating that the Supreme Council of Universities (SCU), in its meeting dated 24/6/2012, approved submitting a memo to the Prime Minister to take the actions required for altering some paragraphs and articles of the Universities Organization Law No. 19 of 1972 with regard to improving the financial conditions of faculty members.
2- The decisions taken by the SCU in its meeting on 24/6/2012 which include the admission rules for prospective students.

Appointments and Promotions:
-The Council approved approving promoting Dr. Ayman Georges Awadallah, assistant professor, Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, to the position of Professor.

- The Council approved promoting Dr. Hani Ali Abedel Badia, lecturer, Department of Art Education, Faculty of Specific Education, to the position of Assistant Professor.

- The Council approved promoting Dr. Naglaa Mahmoud Ali Hassan, lecturer, Department of Restoration, Faculty of Archeology, to the position of Assistant Professor.

- The Council approved promoting Dr. Safaa khamis Hassan Ahmed, assistant lecturer, Department of Community Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, to the position of Lecturer.

- The Council approved promoting Dr. Wafaa Yusuf Abdel Wahed, assistant lecturer, Department of Community Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, to the position of Lecturer.

- The Council approved promoting Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Fattah Ahmed, Department of Architectural Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, to the position of Lecturer.
