The Fayoum University Council, chaired by Professor Ahmed El Gohary, took the following actions at their meeting No. 63 dated 31/7/2011:

-The Council approved applying the memo submitted by the General Department for Education and Students' Affairs regarding distributing sessions among the administrative body of the University.

-The Council approved the Guidelines of Students' Assessment Systems.

-The Council approved transferring Dr. Naglaa Ahmed Amin, Lecturer of Educational Sciences, Faculty of Early Childhood Education, Fayoum University, to the same post at the Department of Educational Sciences, Faculty of Early Childhood Education, Minia University.

-The Council approved transferring Dr. Samiha Mohammad Ali, Lecturer of Psychological Sciences, Faculty of Early Childhood Education, Fayoum University, to the same post at the Department of Psychological Sciences, Faculty of Early Childhood Education, Damanhour University.

-The Council approved transferring Prof. Mohammad Sayed Said, Professor of Agricultural Economics, Sohag University, to the Institute of Strategic Studies and Research of Nile Basin Countries, Fayoum University.

-The Council also approved the proposed amendments of the courses regarding the Department of Home Economics, Faculty of Specific Education. The Supreme Council of Universities (SCU) shall be notified in this regard.

-The Council approved rewarding Amany Mohammad Abdul-Motay, a second year student at the Faculty of Education a money reward amounting to 60 EGP as per the Article No. 272 and the opinion of the University Legal Advisor in this regard.

-The Council approved the decision of the Examiners' Committee regarding altering success percentage in Physiology Course from 39% into 25% for the first year students of the Faculty of Nursing.

- The Council, moreover, approved the proposals regarding the structure and guidelines that govern the Permanent Scientific Committees in its eleventh season 2011-2014 and sending them to the SCU.

-The Council approved the guidebook of issuing scientific journals and periodicals by the Faculties of Fayoum University.

-The Council approved altering and rearranging some courses in the internal regulations of the Faculty of Education for Graduate Programs.

-The Council approved making the membership of university alumni in the Fayoum University Friends Society optional from May 2011 and henceforth.

-The Council approved extending the secondment of 101 faculty staff members who work in some national, regional and international universities and institutes.

Appointments and Promotions:
- The Fayoum University Council approved granting Prof. Akram Ibrahim Ali Ahmed, Department of Agricultural Economics, Faculty of Agriculture the academic title of Professor.
- The Fayoum University Council approved appointing Prof. Mohammad Mohammad Hussein Abdullah, Department of Plant Protection, Faculty of Agriculture, as a part-time professor for a term of four years.

- The Fayoum University Council approved appointing Prof. Mohammad Ali Galal, Department of Horticulture, Faculty of Agriculture appointed as a part-time professor for a term of four years.
- The Fayoum University Council approved appointing Prof. Mohammad Reda Mahmoud Mohammad, Department of Curriculum and Methodology, Faculty of Education, as a part-time professor for a term of four years.

- The Fayoum University Council approved promoting Fayoum University congratulates Dr. Safaa Ahmed Mohammad, Department of Educational Sciences, Faculty of Early Childhood Education, to the rank of associate professor.
- The Fayoum University Council approved promoting Dr. Hani Mahmoud Yasin, Department of Anesthesiology, Faculty of Medicine, to the rank of lecturer.

- The Fayoum University Council approved promoting Dr. Yomna Omran Abdul-Halim, Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, to the rank of lecturer.
- The Fayoum University Council approved promoting Dr. Mohammad Ibrahim Ibrahim Mabrouk, Department of Sociology, Faculty of Arts, to the rank of lecturer.

- The Fayoum University Council approved promoting Dr. Sahar Fathy Abdul Mohsen, Department of Educational Sciences, Faculty of Early Childhood Education, to the rank of lecturer.


Contributions and Donations
The Fayoum University Council accepted the donation offered by Professor Ahmed El Gohary, President of Fayoum University, who contributed 2 water dispensers which are worth EGP 4500.
