The Fayoum University Council, chaired by Professor Abdel Hamid Abdel Tawab Sabry, took the following actions at their meeting No. 64 dated 28/9/2011:
-The Council reviewed the July Meeting Minute No. 63 with adopting the following amendments:
1- Decree No. 2 regarding granting academic degrees to Jihan Hassan Abbas and Adel Mohammad El Sayed. After revisiting the decree, the decree will be: Granting Jihan Hassan Abbas, a master’s-level engineering researcher, a master’s degree, and granting Mahmoud Mustafa Mahmoud Abdel-Naby,a master’s-level engineering researcher, a master’s degree.

2- Decree No. 2 regarding granting an academic degree to Tamer Mohammad Saudy Ahmed. After revisiting the decree, the decree will be: Granting Amal Sayed Abdel-Hafez, a master’s-level science researcher, a master’s degree; and granting Adel Mohammad El Sayed Abdel-Al and Tamer Mohammad Saudy, doctoral-level researchers, PhD degrees.

-The Council approved the decision made by the Board of Deans regarding delegating legal representatives to supervise the deans’ and department chairs’ elections, namely:
Dr. Gama Abdel Rahman
Dr. Ramadan Sabr
Dr. Ahmed Hassan

-The Council also approved:
*adding the previous period of service spent by Dr. Hewaida Ahmed AbdElRasul, associate professor of Clinical Pathology, at the Research Institute of Ophthalmology to her current service to be taken into consideration when promoted to the position of professor.

*extending the secondment of Dr. Mohammad Ezzat Mohammad, associate professor of Mathematics, Faculty of Science, to the Faculty of Computer and Information Technology at Northern Borders University, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

*Transferring
-Dr. Khaled Abdel-Fattah Mohammad Mousa, associate professor of Library and Information Science, Faculty of Arts, Minia University, to the same post at the Faculty of Arts, Fayoum University;
-Dr. Eman Nasry Dawoud, lecturer of Sociology, Faculty of Arts, Fayoum University, to the same post at the Faculty of Arts, Helwan University;
-Dr. Mohammad Saad Al-Shenawy, associate professor of Industrial Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Fayoum University, to the same post at the Faculty of Engineering, Helwan University;
-Dr. Ali Ali Abdel-Tawab, associate professor of Basic Sciences, Faculty of Early Childhood Education, Fayoum University, to the same post at the Department of Educational Technology, Faculty of Education, Fayoum University; and
-Dr. Naser Abu Zayd Mahgoub, lecturer of Library and Information Science, Faculty of Arts, Sohag University, to the same post at the Faculty of Arts, Fayoum University.

Promotions
*The Fayoum University Council approved promoting Dr. Abdel-Attay Mohammad Ibrahim Ali, associate professor, Department of Water and Soil Science, Faculty of Agriculture, to the position of Professor.

* The Fayoum University Council approved promoting Dr. Anas Abdel-Latif Ahmed Wahdan, associate professor, Department of Water and Soil Science, Faculty of Agriculture, to the position of Professor.

* The Fayoum University Council approved promoting Dr. Hosam Ahmed Abdel Ghafar, associate professor, Department of Surgery (Ear, Nose and Throat), Faculty of Medicine, to the position of Professor.

* The Fayoum University Council approved promoting Dr. Mamoun Abdel Halim Wageh, associate professor, Department of Grammar and Prosody, Faculty of Dar Al Uloom, to the position of Professor.

* The Fayoum University Council approved promoting Dr. Wafaa Yosry Ibrahim Hamed, associate professor, Department of Development and Planning, Faculty of Social Work, to the position of Professor.

* The Fayoum University Council approved promoting Dr. Adel El Sayed Abdel-Aziz, associate professor, Department of History, Faculty of Arts, to the position of Professor.

* The Fayoum University Council approved granting Dr. Ilham Ahmed Ahmed Kotb, associate professor, Department of Agricultural Economics, Faculty of Agriculture, the academic title of Professor.

* The Fayoum University Council approved granting Dr. Wael Mohammad Rashad Mohammad, lecturer, Department of Surgery (Obstetrics and Gynecology), Faculty of Medicine, the academic title of Professor.

* The Fayoum University Council approved promoting Dr. Waleed Ragab Abu Srie, lecturer, Department of Surgery (Ear, Nose and Throat), Faculty of Medicine, to the position of Assistant Professor.

* The Fayoum University Council approved promoting Dr. Suzan Nabeeh Ead Girgis, lecturer, Department of Art Education, Faculty of Specific Education, to the position of Assistant Professor.

* The Fayoum University Council approved promoting Dr. Hesham Mohamed Mabrouk Eldib, lecturer, Department of Art Education, Faculty of Specific Education, to the position of Assistant Professor.

* The Fayoum University Council approved promoting Dr. Mohammad Mohammad Hassan Ibrahim, lecturer, Department of Methods of Social Work, Faculty of Social Work, to the position of Assistant Professor.

* The Fayoum University Council approved granting Dr. Mohammad Waseem Mohammad Khalil, lecturer, Department of Zoology, Faculty of Science, the academic title of Assistant Professor.

* The Fayoum University Council approved promoting Dr. Samah Ahmed Abdel Tawab Awad, assistant lecturer, Department of Food Sciences and Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, to the position of Lecturer.

* The Fayoum University Council approved promoting Dr. Samia Mohammad Mahmoud Abdullah, assistant lecturer, Department of Curriculum and Instruction, Faculty of Education, to the position of Lecturer.

* The Fayoum University Council approved promoting Dr. Radwa Ahmed Mohammad Al-Hanafy, assistant lecturer, Department of Chest Diseases, Faculty of Medicine, to the position of Lecturer.

* The Fayoum University Council approved promoting Dr. Sameh Samy Mahmoud, assistant lecturer, Department of Pathology, Faculty of Medicine, to the position of Lecturer.

* The Fayoum University Council approved promoting Dr. Tamer Mohammad Saudi, assistant lecturer, Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science, to the position of Lecturer.

* The Fayoum University Council approved promoting Dr. Sahar Sayed Atrees Bioumy, assistant lecturer, Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, to the position of Lecturer.

* The Fayoum University Council approved promoting Dr. Abeer Galal El Sayed Saad, assistant lecturer, Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, to the position of Lecturer.

Contributions and Donations
-The Fayoum University Council accepted the donation offered by Mr. Amin Ibrahim, Egyptian Cultural Office in Riyadh, in the form of 25 volumes of Ahmad bin Hanbal’s Musnad, to the Central Library.

-The Fayoum University Council accepted the donation offered by Abdullah Alakeel, former assistant secretary of the Islam World League, in the form of his book titled” Pioneers of Preaching” transliterated “A3lamAl-d3wa”which is issued in English and French to the Central Library.
