 Nursing was established Department of medical and surgical - faculty of Nursing - Fayoum University with the creation of the College of Nursing at the University of Fayoum 2010 Republican Decree No. 370 for the year 2009.
Medical and surgical nursing department is one of the oldest known disciplines of nursing, both in modern or ancient times.
The Department of medical and surgical teaching staff members teach four academic curriculum and are the basic of nursing and emergency nursing for the first years and medical and surgical nursing &critical nursing for the second years.
Medical and surgical department has one lab for the first and second years. The laboratory service first and the second year students at the Faculty of Nursing is aimed at the effective application of principles of medical and surgical nursing, according to the latest tools.
The teaching staff and their assistants oversee and train students in training places: the lab of the college, the Ministry of Health hospitals and hospitals of Fayoum University.
