The German Egyptian Research Short Term Scholarship
GERSS
Not later than 15th October, 2009
GERSS is a program jointly funded by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MHESR) and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) in order to finance short-term scholarships for young Egyptian scientists to travel to Germany.
The target groups of the program are researchers enrolled in MSc, PhD programs and young Post Doctoral candidates.
• Duration: from 3 up to six months.
• Eligibility
* Applicants must be currently affiliated with an Egyptian university or an Egyptian Research Institute.
* Applicants should not have been granted DAAD or MHESR grants within the past three years.
* Master candidates: shouldn’t be older than 26 years.
* PhD candidates: shouldn’t exceed 36 years. However priority will be given to young scientists.
* Post doc candidates shouldn’t be older 40 years.
