Fayoum University has issued the guidelines for faculty assistants' travel to professional conferences as follows: -To be eligible for the prescribed subsidy, each researcher seeking to travel for a profession conference must have a research paper published in a conference with his university's name mentioned. -Travel is made through a letter of application addressed to the ministry through vice-presidents for postgraduate studies and research. -Both the letter of application and travel request must be submitted before travelling. -The ministry must be provided with all travel documents to grant the researcher the prescribed subsidy home within a two months' time after his/her return. -A subsidy is paid after returning from the conference; and a copy of passport revealing his/her date for departure and return as well as a detailed report on his/her participation must be submitted. -A subsidy is given for only one time per fiscal year for only one faculty assistant per university. -Air ticket fees can be also paid as long as the research will travel on Egypt Air; also booking can be made through the Central Administration for Missions. -Subsidy Categories: -14000 LE for far countries (Far East countries, namely Japan, Korea, and China, North America, and South America) -10000 LE for European countries, Asian Countries (except the Middle East), and African Countries (except South Africa) -LE 8000 for Arab Countries
