The Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT) invites scientists, engineers and faculty members in universities and research institutions, including hospitals and foundations in Italy or in Egypt, as well as private nonprofit institutions that develop research and development activities in Italy, to submit their proposals under the Scientific and Technical Co-operation Agreement between Italy and Egypt for the years 2012-2015 in the following priority research areas: Agriculture and Food Science and Technology, Engineering and Technology, Electronics, Information Communication Technology, Energy and Environment, Health, Nanotechnology, Space, Geology, Cultural and Natural Heritage, and Transport Systems including Automotive technologies.

• The accepted proposals will be funded by the Ministry of Scientific Research for a period of 3 years.


Submission of Projects:
Interested researchers are invited to submit their projects directly through filling out the application forms which are downloadable via the following websites:

www.asrt.eg.net or www.sti.sci.eg

One soft copy and three hard copies (exclusively in MS Word) of the research project proposal must be forwarded by hand or post, with the words "Egyptian-Italian Programme of Cooperation 2013-15" clearly written on the envelope, to the following address:

Eligibility Criteria
-The research proposal must be a joint work between an Egyptian researcher and an Italian one.
-The research proposal must be endorsed and approved by the principal Egyptian and Italian researchers and their respective institutions.
-The research proposals must be submitted no later than the stated closing date.
-The principal Egyptian researcher must assume a full-time job at his/her institution.
