The Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT) invites nominations for the 2012 State Prizes which include Nile Prize, State Merit Prize and State Encouragement Prize.

Eligibility
The ideal candidates must:

-be nominated by an academic institution, i.e. university, research agency and/or specialized scientific bodies. Each academic institution should nominate only one person for one of the following prizes:
-The Nile Prize for Science
-The Nile Prize for Advanced Technology and Science
-State Merit Prize for Basic Sciences
-State Merit Prize for Agricultural Sciences
-State Merit Prize for Medical Sciences
-State Merit Prize for Engineering Sciences
