The Projects Management Unit (PMU) of the Supreme Council of Universities (SCU) invites highly-qualified applicants for the position of Deputy Director of Information and Communication Technology Project (ICTP). Minimum Qualifications · Minimum of three years experience in, or related to, of ICTP-related projects · Desired Educational Background: PhD Degree in computer engineering, communications, computer science, or science · Solid experience in running multi-program projects; past experience in education is an advantage · Past experience in tenders and Law No. 89 of 1998 · Ability to develop and implement emerging projects. Job Description RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: The Deputy Director will be responsible for: · Contributing to executing and enhancing the strategic plan of the ICTs of the Ministry of Higher Education; · Following-up the teamwork; · Effectively creating liaison with the Chief Information Officers (CIOs) at 22 universities; · Fostering liaison with directors of central projects (9 projects); · Following-up tenders and related committees; · Following-up implementation of recommendations made by the follow-up committees and project's national committee. Note: Selected candidate is required to be present for 5 days a week at the Project HQ, with a possibility of traveling inside and outside Egypt for short periods.
