As a result of the meeting which took place between the Egyptian Ambassador to Vienna, Austria, and president of the University of Vienna and his vice-presidents for research and international affairs, Secretary-general of the Supreme Council of Universities (SCU) Prof.

 Ashraf Mahmoud Hatem, sent a letter to President of Fayoum University Professor Abdel Hamid Abdel Tawab Sabry with regard to the possibility of enhancing academic cooperation between the University of Vienna and the Egyptian Universities.
