The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD),
the University of Oldenburg (Germany) and
the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University (South Africa)
are jointly organizing
the University Leadership and Management Training Course UNILEAD programme
in Oldenburg, Germany.

The key objective of UNILEAD is to bring together a group of approx. 20 professionals working in middle to senior level management at (higher) education institutions.
The idea is to enable the participants to tackle inherent problems of their positions.

The programme focuses on three topics:
* Project Management
* Management of Financial Resources
* Human Resource Management

The course combines online (an introduction phase of distance learning) and 2 contact phases:
(1) with a duration of three weeks (Project Management and Management of Financial Resources), organized in September 2010 at the University of Oldenburg
(2) focusing on Human Resource Management, take place in February 2011.

Participants' profile
* Participants are young university leaders aged between 30 and 40 years
* They hold a university management position with managerial responsibilities since at least two years
* They hold at least a Masters' degree
* Active and excellent English language skills (speaking, writing) are indispensable
* Knowledge of the German language will be an advantage, yet will not be required
* DAAD alumni are most welcome
