Jointly, the Faculty of Early Childhood Education and the Faculty of Medicine are organizing on June 16th, 2010 the Medical Campaign on "Eye Diseases", providing eye care services to the medically underserved i.e. the most indigent people, including children, young people, and the elderly.

The campaign comes within the role of the University in serving the local community of Fayoum. It will conduct eye examinations, and will carry out free surgeries, namely blepharoplasty, cataract surgery, glaucoma, strabismus, and lacrimal system. Eyeglasses will be distributed at no out-of-pocket cost.
