The Award is given to research in the following areas:
- Environmental management that focus on environmental issues in the Arab region
- Best practice in applied environmental management in the public sector in the Arab region
- Best practice in applied environmental management in the private sector in the Arab region
- Pilot applied research in environmental management in non-governmental organization that can be replicated in the Arab region.
