Higher
Education Partnerships for Climate Change Scholarships
Scholarships offered build stronger, more inclusive, globally connected higher
education (TVET) systems that support economic and social growth.
Since
climate change is one of the biggest threats to humanity, universities are
leading important technological and research innovations in this field.
It also
provides education for the next generation of climate experts, and supports
communities to protect the ecosystem.
Given the
great importance of higher education institutions, as mentioned previously, the
initiative provides an opportunity for partnership between universities in the
Arab
Republic of Egypt and the United Kingdom, with a focus on:
Improving
climate resilience in universities and higher education institutions in the Arab
Republic of Egypt
Improving
the contribution of universities and higher education institutions to the
resilience of societies, business and government.

The British Council provides financial support to universities in the United
Kingdom, which will establish partnerships with Egyptian universities in the
field of climate change,
The
support includes the various activities of these partnerships, provided that the
scholarship does not exceed 35,000 pounds for each, and will be implemented for
a period of one year starting from April 2022.
