Higher Education Partnerships for Climate Change Scholarships

Scholarships offered build stronger, more inclusive, globally connected higher education (TVET) systems that support economic and social growth.

Since climate change is one of the biggest threats to humanity, universities are leading important technological and research innovations in this field.

It also provides education for the next generation of climate experts, and supports communities to protect the ecosystem.

Given the great importance of higher education institutions, as mentioned previously, the initiative provides an opportunity for partnership between universities in the Arab

Republic of Egypt and the United Kingdom, with a focus on:

Improving climate resilience in universities and higher education institutions in the Arab Republic of Egypt

Improving the contribution of universities and higher education institutions to the resilience of societies, business and government.

- The British Council provides financial support to universities in the United Kingdom, which will establish partnerships with Egyptian universities in the field of climate change,

The support includes the various activities of these partnerships, provided that the scholarship does not exceed 35,000 pounds for each, and will be implemented for a period of one year starting from April 2022.
