Opening of Nomination for the 2018 State Awards

Awards include:
(Nile - Discretion - Excellence - Encouragement)
Conditions of Nomination for Nile Prizes and State Discretion Prizes:

- The candidate should be nominated by universities, centers, institutes, research bodies or specialized scientific societies so that they should have independent personality and be engaged in science or advanced technological sciences.
-Candidates for these awards shouldn't be one of the heads of these institutionsor one of their board of directors or board of trustees or any of the ministers at the time of assuming responsibility.
Then, Regarding the State Awards for Excellence:
-It may be nominated by the above mentioned institutions and individuals can apply directly for the State Prize for Excellence or Encouragement.


Awards are:

1. Nile Prize for Science.
2. Nile Prize for Advanced Technological Sciences.
3. State Discretion Award in Basic Sciences.
4. State Discretion Award in Agricultural Sciences.
5. State Discretion Award in Medical Sciences.
6. State Discretion Award in Engineering Sciences.
7. State Discretion Award in advanced technological sciences serving the basic sciences.
8. State Discretion Award in advanced technological sciences serving agricultural fields.
9. State Discretion Award in advanced technological sciences serving medical fields.
10. State Discretion Award in advanced technological sciences serving the fields of engineering sciences.
11. Pioneer Awards for one of the distinguished Egyptian scientists who have distinguished scientific achievements without the Nile Prize.
12. Women's Award for distinguished woman, one of Egypt's leading scientists, with social and economic achievements that have a positive impact on society, family, women and children without the Nile Prize.

 

Taking into Consideration the following:
- Nominated for the Nile Award, whohas granted Award of Discretion must spend five years after the year of grants before the nomination for the Nile Award.
-Nominated for Discretion Award, who has granted Award of Excellence must spend five years after the year of grants before the nomination for the Discretion Award.
- Candidates for the Pioneers and Women's Award must spend five years after the year of grants any state awards before the candidacy for any of the two awards.
- The candidate file  should include: (Candidate application form - Curriculum vitae and scientific activity of the candidate - Community activity - International and local scientific publishing - justification for candidacy), in addition to (2) electronic copy as well as a sealed list of published researches over the past ten years As shown in the Nomination Documents for the Nile Awards and Discretion Awards. The documents submitted must be authenticated and certified by the competent authority as well as a copy of the Scopus website.
- The researches will be testedon Plagiarism Program, including the repetition of the publication. So, it is not allowed to apply with previously published researches or those which arederived from other research.This is applied to published researches since 2010.
