Berlin International Graduate School in Model and Simulation based Research (BIMoS) offers PhD fellowships for outstanding students holding a master’s degree. The fellowships will be awarded by the following three faculties of the TU Berlin:

Mathematics and Natural Sciences (Fac. II)-

-Mechanical Engineering and Transport Systems (Fac. V)

-Planning - Building – Environment (Fac. VI)

The research focus of BIMoS will be on the following range of topics:

- (High-Dimensional) Data Analysis

- Inverse Problems

- Model Design

- (Discrete) Optimization

-Reduced Modelling from large scale Numerical Simulation

Research will be carried out by ensuring an interdisciplinary collaboration of experts in both theory and application. The PhD program will include a mentoring program as well as lecture series, summer schools, etc.

Application deadline: December 1st, 2015

Beginning of financial support: Summer/Fall 2016

Duration of support: 3 years
