Founded on October 8th , 2005
Objectives
*Counseling and Guidance Center (CGC) provides quality behavioral healthcare in its different fields: educational and therapeutic guidance, youth guidance, children's guidance, elderly guidance, marriage guidance, profession's guidance and guidance of those belonging to different strata.
*Preparing and applying programs of guidance and counseling fit each field of guidance fields and the target age strata.
*Preparing and training those who are responsible for counseling and psychological guidance: psychological leaders, psychological workers, teachers, psychological therapists, Psychiatrists, and social workers.
*Conducting the psychological studies and research in the field of counseling and psychological guidance and providing the needed tests and guiding programs.
*Targeting the service presented by the centre to the local community in general and deputies of the ministry of education and ministry of higher education including students, teachers, administrative officers and their families.
*Issuing a scientific periodical which publish the psychological - oriented research papers and studies
*Holding an annual conference in the field of counseling and psychological guidance whether independently or in collaboration with the related governmental and non-governmental corpses.
Centre Activities
*Organizing training courses on disorders of communication, pronunciation, and speech - infantile autism
*Preparing and developing the psychological workers who work for ministry of education, social affairs, and ministries related to youth, sport and health.
*Giving care and treating the elderly.
*Organizing seminars and workshops as well as giving special care to the gifted.
