Performance of power lines (short, medium, long and circle diagrams) - per unit representation of power systems- Fault analysis using symmetrical components.

ELP 305 Electrical machines 2 : (4+4):
Synchronous machines (construction – types –performance characteristics –excitation systems and voltage regulation – tests-voltage variation – parallel operation)- polyphase induction machines(Structure, theory of operation, equivalent circuit, tests, speed control), induction voltage regulators, axial flux machines.

ELC 318 Electrical Communication : (1+3):
Applied analog circuits - digital circuit applications - Medium Size integrated circuits in digital systems - the transfer of information in electric power systems – television, radio and telephone systems.

ELP 308 Automatic Control : (1+4):
Signals and Systems- Identification- Components( Electrical, Mechanical, Pneumatic and H ydraulic), Systems representation, block diagram, Routh criteria and bode plot.

Laboratory experiments and exercises applied to the theoretical contents of the selected subjects.

ELP 309 High Voltage Engineering : (1+4):
Generation of high (dc, ac and impulse voltages) - measurements and tests of high voltage - insulating materials: solid, liquid and gas - liquid and solid dielectric- isolation and determination communities machine – corona, grounding earthing), and Traveling waves – insulation Coordination.

ELP 310 Electrical Measurements : (2+3):
Statistical errors - Potentiometer mail - signals generator - waves analyzer – high frequency measurements - initialize signals - digital devices - Digital and analog data collection - transducers amounts electrical and non-electrical - recording devices - laser measurements.

EPM 320 (3) Design and analysis of electrical machines with computers:
The basic principles for the design of Electrical Machines and Transformers: equation output - standard values for each of the magnetic flux density and current density and calculation methods - Sort coils - the impact of harmonics resulting from the order of the coils and ways to avoid them - the principles of the use of computers as a means of design.
