Said has been chosen to be member of a new national salvation government headed by Dr. Kamal al-Ganzouri who pledged to realize the revolution’s goals. It is worth mentioning that Said, the country's new minister of transport, served as president of Fayoum University from 2005 to 2008 and was governor of Fayoum from 2008 to 2011.
