Events in detail

On Sunday, January 27, the second day of the Student Unions Training Course which is held in Fayoum University, three seminars on different issues were held. It is worth mentioning that the course will last until January 30.Needless to say, the course is held under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Hani Helal, minister of Higher Education and State for Scientific Research, Gen. Eng. Magdy Kubesy, Fayoum Governor, and Prof. Dr. Galal M. Said, president of Fayoum University.

First Seminar: "Egyptian Antiquities" by Prof. Dr. Abdel Halim Nour Eddine

In the seminar, Prof. Dr. Abdel Halim Nour Eddine, then-dean of Faculty of Archaeology and the then-Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Antiquities (SCA) and the current head of the Manuscript Department in Bibliotheca Alexandrina, got together with the students and demonstrated the uniqueness of the Egyptian history over all ages. "Man is the real maker of civilization in Egypt since the dawn of history. Any attempt to distort this unquestionable fact will be in vein as the old jealousy and grudge stir all these attempts" Prof. Dr. Nour Eddine said. He also answered all the questions posed by students around many topics and issues related to antiquities, such as the attempt to not selecting the Giza pyramids among the world seven wonders.

Second Seminar: "Reproduction Health" by Prof. Dr. Safaa al-Baz

In this seminar, women met with Prof. Dr. Safaa al-Baz, professor of Reproduction Health, who illustrated the term "Reproduction Health" saying that this term includes child health, woman health in general and woman health during pregnancy period giving birth period and after giving birth period especially. The lecture also tackled issues such as circumcision, breast tumors, and ill-effects of over population on family and national income.

Third Seminar: "Combating Addiction" by Prof. Dr. Al-Hussein Abdel Moneim

In this seminar, Prof. Dr Hussein Abdel Moneim, professor of Psychology and Psychological Health in Cairo University, talked about the bad effects of drugs and addiction on the individual and society as well as the efforts exerted by the government to combat drugs. He also explained the ingredients of drugs and how we can protect ourselves against it.
