In the third day of the Student Unions Traing Course held by Fayoum University, Prof. Dr. Ali Edinne Helal, professor of Political Sciences and the then-minister of Youth and Sport, Gen. Eng. Magdy Qubesy, Fayoum Governor, and Prof. Dr. Galal M. Said, president of Fayoum University, got together with student union members of faculties of Mass Media, Economy and Political Sciences, Languages (sic. AlAlsun) and Archaeology as well as those of faculties and institutes of tourism and hotels.
There was an open discussion focused on some issues important to the public opinion, the situation in Gaza, the Arab reaction, education policy in Egypt, and horizons of the Egyptian tourism in the light of the current events.

In his speech, Prof. Dr. Ali Edinne Helal, confirmed that the Egyptian reaction towards the blockade imposed by Israel on Gaza Strip has emerged from its human and moral responsibilities and its pivotal role in the Arab Region. He also criticized the education system in Egypt which relies on memorization and instruction, not developing the uprising talents.

In his speech, Gen. Eng. Magdy al-Qubesy, Fayoum Governor, affirmed that Egypt has unique tourist potentials among the world countries. The number of tourists poured into Egypt has exceeded 10 million tourists annually.
He added that Fayoum was going to witness the execution of a new tourist center containing 6000 tourist rooms with a capacity of a half million tourists annually.
The centre will be built on an area of 2700 acres on the northern beach of Qarun Lake. Also, there is a project on an area of 6000 acres to extract salts and minerals from Qarun Lake; it costs about L.E. 7 bln . All these projects will create more than about 30000 job opportunities for Fayoum citizens.
In his speech, Prof. Dr. Galal M. Said, president of Fayoum University, said that the university was holding some courses on human rights and enhancing he students' skills to acquire the basics of the labor market, especially students of the final classes.
