Under the slogan "Returning to Roots" and in collaboration with Ministry of Higher Education and State for Scientific Research, Fayoum University organizes the 1st Heritage Festival of Egyptian Universities (University Student Activities Project). The festival is to be from February 17 to February 19, 2008. The festival was held under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Hani Helal, minister of Higher Education and State for Scientific Research and Prof. Dr. Galal M. Said, president of Fayoum University. .

During the festival, the university is supposed to host students of 23 universities of the government and private universities to provide them with information about the deep-rooted heritage, how to maintain it, deepening the feeling of belonging to the society, enhancing and strengthening relations of friendship and affection among the students within a serious strong competition.
