its monthly meeting No. 85 dated June 26^th , 2013, the Fayoum University Council, chaired by President of Fayoum University Professor Abdel Hamid Abdel Tawab Sabry, took the following actions:
The Council endorsed the 2013 May Meeting Minute.
The University Council approved awarding the following students master's degrees:
*Hamed Hamed El Sayed Saleh, Faculty of Agriculture;
*Samah Mohamed Yousef Mohamed Al-Kersh, Faculty of Agriculture;
*Mohamed Fathy Eid Abdel Aziz, Faculty of Agriculture;
*Ibrahim Abdel Fattah Abdel Rahman, Faculty of Agriculture;
*Mohamed Ahmed Abdel Khalek, Faculty of Agriculture;
*Ebtsam Mohamed Mohamed Mohamed Abdel Magid, Faculty of Education;

• The Council also approved awarding the B.Sc. degree in Archeology (May Session 2012/2013) as per the Faculty Council's approval on 19/6/2013.
• The Council also approved awarding the B.Sc. degree in Medicine (November Session 2012/2013) as per the Faculty Council's approval on 10/6/2013.
• The Council also approved the cooperation protocol concluded between Fayoum University and Nahda University to further cooperation in scientific research and comprehensive development.

Appointments & Promotions
• The University Council approved appointing Dr. Ragda Ahmed Helmy, assistant lecturer, Department of Psychology, Faculty of Early Childhood Education, as a lecturer.

• The University Council approved appointing Dr. Doaa Mamdouh Badawy Shabaan, assistant lecturer, Department of Basic Sciences, Faculty of Early Childhood Education, as a lecturer.

• The University Council approved appointing Dr. Rasmia Mohammad Farghali Metwali, assistant lecturer, Department of Basic Sciences, Faculty of Early Childhood Education, as a lecturer.

• The University Council approved appointing Dr. Sayed Reyad Abdel Hafiz, assistant lecturer, Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, as a lecturer.

• The University Council approved appointing Dr. Marwa Thabet Mohamed Atwa, assistant lecturer, Department of Zoology, Faculty of Sciences, as a lecturer.

• The University Council approved appointing Dr. Akram Mohamed Okab, assistant lecturer, Department of Arabic Language and Literature, as a lecturer.

• The University Council approved appointing Dr. Naglaa Ragab Ahmed El Sayed, assistant lecturer, Department of Development and Planning, Faculty of Social Work, as a lecturer.

• The University Council approved appointing Dr. Abdel Naser Sherif Mohamed, a lecturer, Department of Curriculum and Instruction, Faculty of Education, as an assistant professor.

• The University Council approved appointing Dr. Rasha Hamed Ahmed Basuni, a lecturer, Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Medicine, as an assistant professor.

• The University Council approved appointing Dr. Mohamed Hamed Egila Othman, an assistant professor, Department of Linguistics, Faculty of Dar Al Uloom , as a professor.

• The University Council approved appointing Dr. Ahmed Salah Abdel Maogowd, as a lecturer at the Department of Industrial Engineering, Faculty of Engineering.

• The University Council approved appointing Dr. Hamed Ragaa Hamed Al-Tahan, as a lecturer at the Department of Industrial Engineering, Faculty of Engineering.

Education and Students' Affairs
-The University Council approved on sending students' results to their e-mails.
The University Council approved on creating a new undergraduate program titled "biotechnology" in collaboration with the Departments of Biochemistry, Genetics, and Agricultural Microbiology.

The University Council issued new controls for holding graduation ceremonies on the premises of faculties:

1-The Faculty's Student Union is responsible for organizing the ceremony.
2-Divisons of Students' Affairs and/or Youth Welfare are tasked with monitoring organization procedures.
3-All events should be supervised by the faculty dean and his vice-dean for education and students' affairs.
4-No money shall be raised from students.

Graduate Studies and Research Affairs
The University Council decided to suspend the decision formerly issued by the University Council with regard to financial aid for publishing research papers in international journals with an impact factor. However, researchers will be awarded an academic publishing prize according to the impact factor of the publishing journal.
