 In its session no. 23 dated October 2007, Fayoum University council presided over by Prof. Dr. Gala M. Said, president of Fayoum University, approved of :
1- Agreement upon reappointment of Gen. Eng. Mohamed Magdi Kubesy, Fayoum Governor, and Prof. Dr. Saad Nassar, Former Fayoum governor and Consultant of Minister of Agriculture, as members of the university council board for another two years
2- Agreement upon starting work in the antiquities area inside the campus as well as the teaching hospital costing L.E 25 million; establishing the Training Centre of Faculty of Tourism & Hotels on an area of 35,000 square meters on the beach of Quron Lake costing L.E. 40 million and allocating L.E.1 million to enhance the area surrounding the university, including the buildings, squares and ways leading to the university, in collaboration with Ministry of Housing and Utilities and Urban Communities
3- Announcing for 50 vacancies for teaching staff in faculties of Computers & Information, Science, Kindergarten, Arts, Specific Education, Archaeology and Engineering
4- Agreement upon appointing:
