In its monthly meeting No. 77 dated October 24th, 2012, the Fayoum University Council, chaired by President of Fayoum University Professor Abdel Hamid Abdel Tawab Sabry, took the following actions:
• The Council approved the September Meeting Minute.
The Council approved awarding the following students the Master's Degrees:
• Osama Abdel Fattah Mohammad Saad, Faculty of Social Work;
• Shehab Gaber Abdullah Mousa, Faculty of Social work;
• Azza Nady Abdel Zaher Abdel Baky, Faculty of Education;
• Rania Abdel Monsef Abdel Gawad Ahmed, Faculty of Tourism and Hotels;
• Amena Mohammad Rabie Algenaidy Nady Genaidy, Faculty of Engineering;
• Mustafa Mohammad Abuelnour Abdel Mowla, Faculty of Dar Al Uloom;
• Rasha Omar Abdel Wahed, Faculty of Dar Al Uloom;

The Council approved awarding the following students the PhD Degrees:

• Alaa Idris Badawy Abu Srie, Faculty of Agriculture;
• Hamdy Ahmed Abdel Rahman Mohammad, Faculty of Agriculture;

The Council approved:
• Awarding the Graduate Diploma Degree of the Faculty of Education to 1785 students majoring in general diploma, 115 students in special diploma, and 223 students in professional diploma.
• Awarding the Graduate Diploma Degree of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels to 19 students.
• Awarding the Graduate Diploma Degree of the Faculty of Engineering for 2 students majoring in electrical engineering and architecture.
• Awarding the Applied Diploma Degree of the Faculty of Early Childhood Education for 12 students.
• The result of B.Sc. exams in Information Systems and Computer Science (September 2012) upon an approval by the Faculty Council in its emergency meeting on 7/10/2012.
Appointments and Promotions
• The Council approved promoting Dr. Hamdy Ahmed Abdel Rahman, Assistant Lecturer, Department of Water and Soils, Faculty of Agriculture, to the position of Lecturer.
• The Council approved promoting Dr. Alaa Idris Badawy, Assistant Lecturer, Department of Horticulture, Faculty of Agriculture, to the position of Lecturer.
• The Council approved promoting Dr. Hoda Mahmoud Mohamed Mazeed, Assistant Lecturer, Department of Basic Sciences, Faculty of Early Childhood Education, to the position of Lecturer.
• The Council approved promoting Dr. Moustafa Ali Abo Srea Ali, Assistant Lecturer, Department of Pathology, Faculty of Medicine, to the position of Lecturer.
• The Council approved promoting Dr. Moustafa Ahmed Ezzat, Assistant Lecturer, Department of Clinical Pathology, Faculty of Medicine, to the position of Lecturer.
• The Council approved promoting Dr. Mahmoud Shoukry Mahmoud Eladwy, Assistant Lecturer, Department of Urology, Faculty of Medicine, to the position of Lecturer.
• The Council approved promoting Dr. Tamer Mosaad ElSaied, Assistant Lecturer, Department of Cardiology, Faculty of Medicine, to the position of Lecturer.
• The Council approved promoting Dr. Gehan Shaban Farhat, Lecturer, Department of Poultry Science, Faculty of Agriculture, to the position of Assistant Professor.
• The Council approved promoting Dr. Ayman Abd-AlKawy Shelaby, Lecturer, Department of Agricultural Economics, Faculty of Agriculture, to the position of Assistant Professor.
• The Council approved promoting Dr. Rasha Mostafa Mohamed Omran, Lecturer, Department of Tourist Guidance, Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, to the position of Assistant Professor.
• The Council approved promoting Dr. Amr Abdel Moneim Mohamed El-Nagary, Lecturer, Department of General Surgery, Faculty of Medicine, to the position of Assistant Professor.
• The Council approved promoting Dr. Hanaa Nazir Ali, Assistant Professor, Department of Geography, Faculty of Arts, to the position of Professor.
• The Council approved granting Dr. Yasser Yussuf Abaid, Lecturer, Department of Physics, Faculty of Science, the academic title of Assistant Professor.
• The Council approved granting Dr. Shahinaz Eid Mahmoud, Assistant Professor, Department of Agricultural Economics, Faculty of Agriculture, the academic title of Professor.
Postgraduate Studies and Research Affairs
• The Council decided that students of open education programs shall not be admitted to graduate programs.
Community Service Affairs
• The Council approved exempting students with disabilities from study tuitions and residence fees and notifying the Supreme Council of Universities (SCU) in this regard.
Education and Students' Affairs
• The Council endorsed the decision issued by the Council of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels which stipulates conducting personal interviews to students nominated to join the faculty.
•The Council decided to give the University Allowance to the faculty members and their assistants who are on scientific missions in accordance with the legal opinion of the Legal Advisor to Cairo University who sees that the faculty members and their assistants who are on scientific missions have the right to get their full salaries and allowances.
Donations and Contributions
• The Fayoum University accepted the donation made by Prof. Ibrahim Al Shafie, Professor of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, who donated the hardware of a computer worth LE 5000, to the Faculty of Engineering.
• The Fayoum University accepted the donation made by Prof. Abdel Fattah Sheta, Professor of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, who donated the hardware of a computer worth LE 15000, to the Faculty of Engineering.
• The Fayoum University accepted the donation made by Hoda Galal Yasy, a member of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels Council, who donated 2 computer sets which are worth LE 4800, to Faculty of Tourism and Hotels.
