 In its session no. 35 dated 26/11/2008, Fayoum University Council Presided over by Prof. Dr. Ahmed El Gohary, President of Fayoum University, approved of;
*setting up 3 up-to-date computer labs to help university students obtain the International Computer Driving License (ICDL) pursuant to the decree issued by the Supreme Council of Universities (SCU) concerning abolition of the computer as a subject and making getting the ICDL a must as a condition for graduation. These lab contain 4000 computer devices and work three times a day in cooperation with the SCU and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. Also, the regulations of postgraduate stage will be amended to make obtaining the ICDL a condition for obtaining master's and doctoral degrees.
*certain halls inside the university faculties to be allocated for wall magazines and student discussions as a new experience for educating students ways of dialogue, discussion and respect for opposing opinions. Before publishing their wall magazines, however, students need to receive prior approval from the dean of their faculty. Moreover, the wall magazine to be published should be in line with the values of the university.
*transferring Dr. Ghada Mustafa Abdel-Azim, Lecturer at Forensic Medicine and Toxicology, from Minia Faculty of Medicine to the same post in Faculty of Medicine, Fayoum University.
