In its meeting No. 59 dated 9/3/2011, the Fayoum University
Council, chaired by Professor Ahmed El-Gohary, President of Fayoum
University, has approved:
*not
deducting a day-fee, which has been devoted the constructions affiliated to
the Fayoum University Staff Club (FUSC), from the examinations bonuses paid
to the faculty. The same applies to oral and written exam sessions.
*not
deducting a day-fee, which has been devoted to the Fayoum University
Students' Welfare fund, from the examinations bonuses paid to the faculty.
The same applies to oral and written exam sessions.
*not deducting a sum of LE 2 from all
faculty and personnel which has been devoted to the Fayoum University's
Friends Society. The decision will be into effect from March 2011.
*paying
back all previously deducted amounts of money.
The Fayoum University Council has also endorsed
the Administrative and Financial
Regulation for the Field Training for the third and four years, the Faculty
of Dar Al Uloom.
The Fayoum University Council has approved
exempting all top graduates who are
appointed at the university and who have registered for graduate studies
from charging LE 500, an amount of money which has been paid as a
contribution to the Social Services Fund. All previously paid sums must be
paid back.
The Fayoum University Council has approved
that an M. Sc/M.A scholar will be awarded his/her Master's degree only after
publishing at least a research paper in a regional periodical, taking into
account that his/her name is mentioned on top of the list of authors.
The Fayoum University Council has approved
that a PhD scholar will be awarded his/her Master's degree only after
publishing at least a research paper in a peer reviewed international
journal having an impact factor, taking into account that his/her name is
mentioned on top of the list of authors.
The Fayoum University Council has approved
the following rewards for teaching assistants with scientific publications
extracted from M.A/M.Sc. theses:
* Each research paper published in a regional periodical is entitled to
prize money of EGP 3.000. (To be given for only one time).
* Each research paper published in a peer reviewed international journal
having an impact factor is entitled to a prize money of EGP 5,000.
The Fayoum University Council has approved
the following reward for assistant lecturers with scientific publications
extracted from PhD dissertations:
* Each research paper published in a peer reviewed international journal
having an impact factor is entitled to a prize money of EGP 5,000.
Here are some relevant paragraphs:
*Teaching assistants and assistant lecturers who have earned academic
qualifications from abroad will be given the rewards mentioned earlier on
the condition that their affiliation to Fayoum University is clearly
mentioned in their research papers.
*To be granted an academic rank, submission of a Letter of Acceptance is
enough.
* To be granted the prize money, a copy of the published research paper must
be submitted.
-The Fayoum University has approved that the prize money of the Award for
Excellence in Scientific Publication will be paid only for research papers
published in a peer reviewed international journal having an impact factor.
-The Fayoum University has approved
setting up the Scientific Research Support Fund (SRSF) in the way stated in
the memo submitted by the Vice-President for Postgraduate Studies and
Research.
-The Fayoum University has approved
promoting Dr. Ahmed
Moawed Imam Abdul-Moniem,
assistant professor at Department of Biochemistry, Faculty of Science, to
the rank of Professor.
-The Fayoum University has approved
promoting Dr. Tolba Saleh
Abdul-al Farghaly,
assistant professor at Department of Soil Science and Water, Faculty of
Agriculture, to the rank of
Professor.
-The Fayoum University has approved
promoting Dr. Rania
Abdul-Moez Ali Mohammad,
lecturer at Department of Educational Sciences, Faculty of Education, to the
rank of Assistant Professor.
-The
Fayoum University has approved promoting
Dr. Abdul-Naser Amin Ahmed Abdul-Hafiz,
lecturer at Department of Soil Science and Water, Faculty of Agriculture, to
the rank of Assistant
Professor.
-The Fayoum University has approved
promoting Dr. Yasser
Ezzat Taha,
lecturer at Department of
Internal Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, to the rank of
Assistant Professor.
-The Fayoum University has approved
promoting Dr. Mohammad
Sayed Gomaa Mahmoud,
assistant lecturer at Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of
Engineering, to the rank of
Lecturer.
*The Fayoum University Council has
approved accepting an EGP 10,000 contribution for the Fayoum University's
Rehabilitation Center for the Blind made by an anonymous philanthropist.
