The Fayoum University Council, chaired by Professor Abdel Hamid Abdel Tawab Sabry, President of Fayoum University, took the following actions at their meeting No. 70 dated 28/3/2012:
-The Council approved the February Meeting Minute dated 28/12/2011.

-The Council approved the result of the B.Sc. in Science –January Session 2012.

-The Council approved the agreements which were concluded between Fayoum University and some other Arab universities on the sidelines of the 45th Congress of the Union of Arab Universities which was held on the premises of Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah University, Fez, Morocco, on 20-21 March 2012. Universities included: 1- Irbid National University, Jordan
2- Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah University, Morocco
3-Ibn Tofail University, Morocco
4- Mohammed V University at Souissi, Morocco
5- Mohammed V University at Agdal, Morocco

-The Council approved appointing Dr. Saber Mohammad Saleh Salem as a lecturer at the Department of Electrical Engineering.

-The Council approved transferring Dr. Eman Nasry, lecturer, Department of Sociology, Faculty of Arts, to the same post at the Department of Sociology of Helwan University's Faculty of Arts.

-The Council approved exempting students with special needs enrolled at the Faculty of Arts from tuition fees and residence fees at the University Dorms.

-The Council approved the numbers of students to be enrolled in the university for the academic year 2012/2013.

- The Council approved the numbers of students to be enrolled at the Fayoum University's Open Education Center for the academic year 2012/2013 as follows:

Promotions
The Council approved promoting Dr. Amina Mohammad Biomy Afifi, assistant professor, Department of Arts, to the position of professor.

-The Council approved promoting Dr. Ahmed Mohammad Abdel Salam, lecturer, Department of English Language and Literature, Faculty of Arts, to the position of assistant professor.

-The Council approved promoting Assem Ali Abdel Wahed, assistant lecturer, Department of Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT), Faculty of Medicine, to the position of lecturer.

-The Council approved promoting Hosam Eldin Mahmoud Abdel Aziz, assistant lecturer, Department of Clinical Pathology, Faculty of Medicine, to the position of lecturer.

-The Council approved promoting Tamer Mohammad Mohammad Rashad, assistant lecturer, Department of General Surgery, Faculty of Medicine, to the position of lecturer.

-The Council approved promoting Mohammad Eid Said, assistant lecturer, Department of Arabic Language, Faculty of Arts, to the position of lecturer.

-The Council approved promoting Ibrahim Hamdy Abdel Maksoud, assistant lecturer, Department of Engineering Physics and Mathematics, Faculty of Engineering, to the position of lecturer.

-The Council approved promoting Abdel Wahab Abdullah Abdel Wahab, assistant lecturer, Department of Poultry Science, Faculty of Agriculture, to the position of lecturer.

-The Council approved promoting khaled Abdel Hakam Abdel Salam, assistant lecturer, Department of Dairy Science, Faculty of Agriculture, to the position of lecturer.

-The Council approved promoting Reda El Sayed Shabaan, assistant lecturer, Department of Curriculum and Instruction, Faculty of Education, to the position of lecturer.

Contributions and Donations:
- The Fayoum University Council accepted the donation offered by Mr. Farouk Mohammad Rabie, Former Director of Egypt Air, who made an EGP 2000 contribution to the Students' Fund of the Faculty of Dar Al Uloom.

- The Fayoum University Council accepted the donation offered by Mr. Tamer Farouk Rabie, Professor, United Arab Emirates University (UAEU), who contributed an EGP 1000 contribution to the Students' Fund of the Faculty of Dar Al Uloom.

-The Fayoum University Council accepted the donation offered by Emek Company for Marketing, which contributed 5 scientific references in the field of architectural engineering.

-The Fayoum University Council accepted the donation offered by Dr. Yasser Ezzat Taha, Assistant Professor, Department of Rheumatology, Faculty of Medicine, who contributed an a Samsung Notebook which is worth EGP 1500.
