 In its session no. 18 dated May 2007, Fayoum University council presided over by Prof. Dr. Gala M. Said, president of Fayoum University approved of :
1- announce the results of second term exams in mid July. This decision has been made after reviewing the plan of exams which have begun on last Saturday.
2-President of Fayoum University said that the council reviewed the university preparations for the e-assortment of acceptance in universities this year. He affirmed that the university has provided 140 computers and 4 phone lines for inquisition.Also, the council decided to print a guidebook to be distributed to secondary school students in Fayoum during the exams period.
3-The council agreed upon summer activity plan which will begin on June 15, 2007.The plan includes setting up summer club for teaching staff members, workers and students within Physical Skills Enhancement Project in collaboration with Egyptian University Sports Federation. Also, the plan embraces setting up a project for preparing secondary school students for acceptance in the military and physical faculties. The plan, moreover, includes the following activities: setting up a cultural club, arts centre, a camp for beautifying the campus, preparing the scout camp which is on 35 thousand square meters at Qarun Lake's beach, taking exercises in chess, setting up a centre for Arabic calligraphy and carrying out of comprehensive development convoys; first and second convoys in a village in Fayoum Governorate.
4-The council accepted the donation given by Mr.Mansour Amer, board chairman of Mansour Group, who donates LE 1000 thousand for the bank account of Fayoum University Friends Society .Also ,the council accepted the six thousand pound donation granted by Suez Canal Bank, Garden City Branch for the account of the teaching Hospital. It also accepted the donation of the Egyptian Company for Minerals; the donation is a machine for measuring vibrations. The machine, costing LE 25 thousand, will be used for training students of Industrial Engineering.
5-Dr. Galal added that the council agreed upon appointing five assistant professors, who are: Dr. Hala Abdel-Magid Muslim Shahin, Faculty, of Medicine, Dr. Ragab Ismail Ahmed Morad, Dr.Ratiba Bayoumi Ahmed Al- Tantawi, Faculty of Agriculture, Dr.Mervet El-Sayed Khatiri, Faculty of Social Work and Dr. Mohamed Said Mahmoud Abu Al-Ghar, Faculty of Science. Furthermore, the council agreed upon appointing six lecturers, who are: Dr.Ghada Mohamed Wafiq, Faculty of Tourism & Hotels, Dr. Ghada Mohamed Ezzat Ahmed, Dr.Wael Samir Ragab Sharf, Dr. Ahmed Tamer Sayad Seif, Dr. Ahmed Mustafa Mohamed Kersh, Faculty of Medicine and Dr. Ola Ali El-Yamini, Faculty of Specific Education.
