In its session no. 31dated June 28th , 2008, University Council presided over by Prof. Dr. Ahmed el Gohary, the President, approved of: *accrediting the strategic plan of quality and accreditation which aims to make Fayoum University a distinguished university in accordance with the national standards in fields of education, scientific research, community service and environment development.

*announcing the results of the final exams before the middle of the next month; the results are to be announced on the university website on the internet.
*participating of the university in eradication the illiteracy of 8,000 people in cooperation with Fayoum Governorate and the General Authority for Literacy and Adult Education (GALAE).
*starting of transferring among universities on August 3,2008 according to the regulations stipulated by the Supreme Council of Universities (SCU) which say that the student should transfer to the higher class and be one of the region's inhabitants.
*providing five labs equipped with one-hundred computer devices and the internet for receiving the students who have passed the Thanaweya A'ama (General Secondary School Certificate) in addition to the presence of supervisors to guide the students.
*granting the new incentives to the teaching staff members since June 1, 2008 according to the rules set by the Supreme Council of Universities (SCU) as follows: L.E. 1200 for the lecturer, L.E. 1600 for the assistant Professor and L.E. 2000 for the professor. All this is correlated with the quality of performance; this is a step of three steps which will be conducted ending with modifying the cadre of wages given to the faculty staff.
