In its meeting No. 52 dated 30/6/2010, the Fayoum University Council, chaired by Professor Ahmed Magdy El Gohary, President of Fayoum University, approved:

-the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between Fayoum University and Kansas State University, USA, with the aim of initiating academic partnerships to enable the two institutions to work in partnership and to share expertise and knowledge with the aim of improving the quality of higher education in Egypt.

-announcing all examination results by 15 July 2010.

-The Academic Year 2010/2011 starts on Saturday 18/9/2010 and ends on Thursday 27/1/2011. Saturday 8/1/2011 is slated for first term examination. Second term starts on Saturday 12/2/2011 and ends on Thursday 9/6/2011. Saturday 11/6/2010 is slated for second term examinations.

-Under the MoU signed between Fayoum University and The University of Wales Institute, Cardiff (UWIC), and through a visit paid by UWIC delegation to Fayoum University, high ranking officials from both universities discussed joint cooperation fields concerning the Fayoum International University, which is going to be established through a Public-Private Partnership (PPP). Accordingly, two programs have been selected – Sports Medicine and Hospital Management – to start the new academic year.

*The Fayoum University Council approves appointing Dr. Ragab Mahmoud Gomaa, Department o Agricultural Economics, Faculty of Agriculture, as a part-time professor.

* The Fayoum University Council approves promoting Dr. Hanan Hassan Ali Makhlouf, Department of Clinical Pathology, Faculty of Medicine, to the rank of Assistant Professor.

* The Fayoum University Council approves promoting Dr. Khaled Abdul Aziz Osman, Department of Architectural Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, to the rank of assistant professor.

* The Fayoum University Council approves promoting Dr. Mohammad Mohammad Ahmed Al Rabieay, Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, to the rank of Assistant Professor.

* The Fayoum University Council approves promoting Dr. Magda Ragab Abdul Baky Ewis, Department of Food Science and Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, to the rank of Assistant Professor.

* The Fayoum University Council approves promoting Dr. Walid Hussein Ali Hussein, Department of Architectural Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, to the rank of Lecturer.

* The Fayoum University Council approves promoting Dr. Maged Mohammad Abuel Ella Mohammad, Department of Architectural Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, to the rank of Lecturer.

* The Fayoum University Council approves promoting Dr. Mona Shabaan Osman Mohammad, Department of Educational Administration, Faculty of Education, to the rank of Lecturer.

* The Fayoum University Council approves promoting Dr. Eman Mohammad Mohammad Hussein, Department of Zoology, Faculty of Science, to the rank of Lecturer.

* The Fayoum University Council approves promoting Dr. Ramadan Mohammad Salama, Department of Poultry Production, Faculty of Agriculture, to the rank of Lecturer.

* The Fayoum University Council approves promoting Dr. Taie Ali Abdul Magid Ali, Department of Land & Water, Faculty of Agriculture, to the rank of Lecturer
