In its session no. 43 of 28/7/2009:
Fayoum University Council chaired by Professor  Ahmed Magdy El Gohary, President of Fayoum University, approved of :
*Reappointing Prof. Galal Said, Fayoum Governor, and Prof. Saad Nassar, Advisor to the Minister of Agriculture and the Former Governor of Fayoum, as members of the University Council for two years.

 *Appointing Mr. Hany Seif El-Nasr, SFD Managing Director, as member of the University Council.

*Establishing the Fayoum University Museum at the New Building of the Faculty of Archaeology for housing the University's documents and collections.

*Establishing the Fayoum University Center for Languages and Translation to develop the skills the university community and the outside community; the center will grant approved certificates in cooperation with other different language centers specialized in English, French, Russian and Chinese.

* Adopting the University's Plan to combat bird flu and swine flu. Among the University's precautions are

-It has been decided to hold educational seminars for this purpose during the first week of the study.

-A committee will be formed to keep abreast of the situation and implement a plan of infection control. 

- Appointing a liaison officer in each faculty to watch the suspected cases.

- Students returning from abroad as well as members of the faculty and staff returning from pilgrimage or from abroad will undergo a medical examination.

*Granting the scientific title of Professor to both:
-Dr. Essam Sayed Ahmed Ameriya – Department of Grammar & Prosody – Faculty of Dar Aluloum. assistant professor .

Dr. Ahmed Hosny Ibrahim – Department of Fields of Social Work – Faculty of Social Work. . assistant professor -
