University Council – September 2012

In its monthly meeting No. 76 dated September 26th, 2012, the Fayoum University Council, chaired by President of Fayoum University Professor Abdel Hamid Abdel Tawab Sabry, took the following actions:


-The Council approved the July Meeting Minute.


-The Council approved appointing Dr. Alaa Omar Mohammad Lotfy, lecturer of Civil Engineering, as Master of the Charitable Endowment Fund for Science and Technology of Fayoum University.


-The Council approved awarding the following students the Master's Degrees:

  • Asmaa Ibrahim Saad Mohammad, Faculty of Science;

  • Enas Mohammad Morsy Mohammad, Faculty of Medicine;

  • Mohammad Gomaa Mohammad Makhlouf, Faculty of Medicine;

  • Rania Shabaan Al Sayem Marzouk, Faculty of Education;

  • Kariman Mahmoud Mohammad Mohammad Mabrouk, Faculty of Education;

  • Adel Sayed Shabaan Shabaan, Faculty of Education; and

  • Eman Badawy Ahmed Mahmoud, Faculty of Engineering;

- The Council approved awarding the following students the PhD Degrees:

  • Tamer Mosaad El Said Ragab, Faculty of Medicine;

-The Council approved:

  • The result of B.Sc. for May 2012 of the Faculty of Science upon the approval of the Faculty Council dated 12/9/2012.


  • The result of B.A. in Social Work for May 2012 of the Faculty of Social Work upon the approval of the Faculty Council dated 24/9/2012.


  • The result of the B.Sc. for September 2012 of the Faculty of Archaeology upon the approval of the Faculty Council dated 16/9/2012.


  • The result of the B.A. for September 2012 of the Faculty of Dar Al Uloom upon the approval of the Faculty Council dated 16/9/2012.



  • Appointments and Promotions
    -The Council approved promoting Dr. Mohammad Ahmad Hasanean Aboul-ata, assistant lecturer, Department of Psychology, Faculty of Arts, to the position of lecturer.


    -The Council approved promoting Dr. Thanaa Mhamoud Hashem, assistant lecturer, Department of Home Economics, Faculty of Specific Education, to the position of lecturer.


    -The Council approved promoting Dr. Nagwan Ahmed Refaat, lecturer, Department of Art Education, Faculty of Specific Education, to the position of assistant professor.


    -The Council approved promoting Dr. Ashraf Mohamed Mohamed Essa, lecturer, Department of Botany, Faculty of Science, to the position of assistant professor.


    -The Council approved promoting Dr. Maher Fouad Ramdan, lecturer, Department of Plant Protection, Faculty of Agriculture, to the position of assistant professor.


    -The Council approved promoting Dr. Magdy Ali Abd El Aziz, assistant professor, Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, to the position of professor.


    -The Council approved promoting Dr. Ibrahim Hamed Hussein, assistant professor, Department of Plant Protection, Faculty of Agriculture, to the position of professor.


    -The Council approved promoting Dr. Ragab Ismail Ahemd Mourad, assistant professor, Department of Soils and Water, Faculty of Agriculture, to the position of professor.


    -The Council approved promoting Dr. Sawsan Ahmed Seif El-Yazel, assistant professor, Department of Soils and Water, Faculty of Agriculture, to the position of professor.


    Community Service Affairs
    -The Council approved developing a Vocational Training Unit under the umbrella of the Fayoum University's Public Service Center.


    -The Council approved developing an Innovation Management Center as a special unit at the university and at faculties; the SCU shall be notified in this regard.


    -The Council approved the administrative and financial bylaw of the Advisory Center for Agricultural Studies and Services of the Faculty of Agriculture.

    Miscellaneous Decisions
    -The Council approved the proposal submitted by the Faculty of Engineering dated 16/7/2012 with regard to formulating a board for the Correlation Project between Faculty of Engineering and External Engineering Institutions.


    - The Council endorsed the cooperation agreement concluded between Faculty of Engineering (Fayoum University) and Faculty of Engineering (Beni Suef University).


    - The Council endorsed the cooperation agreement concluded between Faculty of Engineering (Fayoum University) and Faculty of Education (Fayoum University).


    -The Council approved the formulation of the University's Disciplinary Committee for the Academic Year 2012/2013 as follows:

    Donations and Contributions
    -The Fayoum University accepted the donation made by Prof. Hazem Attia, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, who donated a package of seven books, which are worth LE 2500, to the Library of the Faculty of Engineering.


    -The Fayoum University accepted the donation made by Dr. Said Abdel Fattah Al Kholy, Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, who donated a package of nine books, which are worth LE 2500, to the Library of the Faculty of Engineering.


    -The Fayoum University accepted the donation made by Hagar Ragab El Said, a third year industrial engineering student, Faculty of Engineering, who donated a fridge, which is worth LE 1400, to engineering students.
