2nd Workshop on "International Research Publication" 8-10 August 2009 Prof. Ahmed El Gohary, President of Fayoum University, inaugurated the second workshop on "International Research Publication" which was held from 8/8 through 10/8/2009 at the Building of the University Projects Management Unit (UPMU). A number of high profile figures witnessed the inauguration ceremony, namely Prof. Mahmoud Shendy, UPMU Director, Prof. Kamal Ghalab, Director of Faculty and leadership Development Center (FLDC) and Prof. Mohamed Ibrahim Iraqi, Vice-Dean of Faculty of Tourism and Hotels for Students and Research besides a galaxy of the faculty staff. The workshop commenced with a note delivered by Prof. Ahmed El Gohary in which he pointed out that the fundamental objective of the program was to provide participants with basic knowledge and skills related to scientific publishing with the aim of contributing to the upgrading of the quality of the educational process in higher education institutions. He added that the target group was researchers in institutes, research centers interested in scientific research, and officials who are responsible for producing and disseminating knowledge in all state institutions, as well as centers of research and innovation. The events of the workshop came as follows: on the first day, a lecture was given by Prof. Kamal Ghalab; on the second day, a lecture was given by Prof. Mahmoud Shendy; on the third day, a lecture was given by Prof. Mohamed Ibrahim Iraqi.
