STDF Targeted Calls
HCV control research program-2
The Science and Technology Development Fund (STDF)
is pleased to invite young researchers to participate in the targeted call HCV
control research program-2 based on the working document of the Egyptian
national control strategy for viral hepatitis 2008-2012 that was developed by
the Ministry of Health. The call is a continuation of the HCV control plan that
was started with the first HCV control call in the year of 2009. The current
call mainly comprises topics that have not been adequately covered by the
submitted proposals in the first HCV Control targeted call announced by STDF in
2009.
Call subjects/topics:
A] Epidemiology of HCV infection and comorbid conditions in Egypt
B] HCV diagnostic modalities and related pathologies
C] HCV therapy
D] HCV prevention
Competition for the STDF grants is merit-based and open to researchers
who meet the eligibility requirements.
