Merit Scholarship Program for High Technology MSP 2011/2012
The Islamic Development Bank (IDB) announces that scholarships under the IDB
Merit Scholarship Program for High Technology for the year 2011/12 are open for
application.
The Program is designed to help promising research students to pursue a
full-time 3-year Ph. D study or a 6-12 month post-doctoral research work in
health/medicine, agriculture/food production, water resources/desertification,
energy/infrastructure development, nanotechnology, development-focused ICT. Some
scholarships are also available for studies and research in invention-related
abstract sciences.
The scholarship comprises tuition fees, living allowance, health insurance,
round-trip air-ticket and conference participation in general, and computer and
dependency allowances for Ph.D. students.
The successful candidate must secure admission to one of the universities listed
in the Times Higher Education Supplement (THES). The list is available on the
IDB website:
